“Disappointing due to stuffy room, lacking ventilation”

I didn't have a good stay at this hotel. The room was at such a stifling temperature throughout the nights (and also during the day) that we slept very poorly. Of course, a hotel experience is about more than just this, but the sleep quality in a hotel should be its primary focus. Me and my partner spoke to the reception about this issue multiple times and the only response we got back was that its still "heating season and not airco season" (it was the first weekend of May). No solution, or something that leans that way. It's my first time experiencing this in a hotel (or hearing this particular argument), but what I would've expected is a little bit of service from the hotel's side: if the AC can't be turned on perhaps offer a ventilator, another room, or make up for the issue in another way. There was clearly no understanding for our complaints at the reception desk and I have to say that is quite unfortunate and a bit off. Especially as more people complained about this, including my colleagues. When making this booking it is clearly stated that rooms have AC, nowhere on Booking.com, the hotel's website or the terms & conditions it is mentioned that rooms can't be air conditioned during certain periods of time. I find it quite misleading to share this information (too late) when the guests have booked, paid and are in the hotel already. To be fair, if I knew this before booking we wouldn't have stayed at the Rochechouart. Before posting this review I wrote this to the hotel as they asked me for my feedback, I didn't get a reply. I feel it's fair for other potential guests to be aware of the above, before making a booking.

Great location for travelling around. Lovely views as elevated position. Super friendly staff. Rooftop bar was fab with amazing views.

We spent 3 nights there, where 2 nights were spent in a room that smelled horrible and was very moist. The room smelled like mold and we could not breath in there. The sheaths were very moist as well which made it horrible to lay in the bed. I asked the staff first thing the morning after to change the room but all i got as a reply was "we do not smell anything, all we can do is send up some table fans". We then asked our friends who stayed at the same hotel to come and check our room and they were chocked because of the smell. I went down again and they told me that they could fix a new room the last night, which made me sad because we paid to stay in a room where it smelled like mold 90% of our visit in Paris. We got a new room the last night and it was better, but still. We had to pay full price for the first horrible 2 days.

This was my second visit to Hotel Rochechouart. The staff are super friendly, the rooms are very comfortable and the location is the perfect spot to explore Paris from.

Beautiful decor, great location, friendly and attentive staff

Wonderful Hotel and very in character with Parisian styled hotels. The gentleman in the suit at breakfast was lovely and very welcoming each morning. We were treated to welcome drinks which was also lovely & a great way to start the trip. There is a great vibe and energy in the bar/restaurant. I look forward to staying here again very soon in the summer to take advantage of the views on the roof.

“Stunning hotel and Perfect Location”

Our room was absolutely perfect, and the bed was so so comfy. I liked that the space was large but still felt cosy and chic. The location was absolutely perfect for us as it meant that we were close to the metro, but also close to montmarte and the surrounding suburbs. It was really magical to just explore the area around the hotel, as it felt truly Parisian. The staff were absolutely amazing and accommodated anything we needed. We were also surprised with a free upgrade, which was such a nice surprise after landing in Paris. In terms of pricing, it was very fair and cheaper than I expected to pay for such a great hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

A pitty that the rooftop bar was closed for a private event. That schouldn't be alowed. Maybe you can open a part of it for your guests.

Location was very good. The staff were wonderful, incredibly helpful and charming. Just to name some: John, Rani, Nodig, Joe, Florent and Paul. A very welcoming place and breakfast was a good.
