“DON'T STAY AT THIS HOTEL JUST YET”

At no point during the booking process did the website indicate that the hotel was undergoing renovations; had this been clear, we would have chosen alternative accommodation. Upon arrival, we were allocated room 204 on the second floor, only to discover that the lift was not operational. This required me to carry a 30kg bag for my family up two flights of stairs, which were cluttered with construction waste and partially carpeted (please refer to attached photographs). Such conditions would be considered a significant health and safety hazard in the UK due to the presence of rubble, dust, sharp carpet grippers, and the trip risks posed by the semi-installed carpet. Furthermore, the corridor on our floor had its ceiling removed and was only partially covered with a sheet (see images). A power extension lead was left trailing across the floor, which resulted in my children tripping multiple times, and there was an active building site directly opposite our room with its door left open, allowing noise, dust, and fumes to disperse without mitigation. Construction work, involving power tools, occurred daily except for Sunday—commencing as early as 8am. The disruption from the open building site was considerable. While the family room itself was acceptable though compact, it lacked adequate storage space. For four guests, only six coat hangers were provided; when I requested additional hangers, staff were unable to supply any. Requests for extra pillows were also unsuccessful. The most inconvenient issue occurred on Saturday evening when the builders switched off the hot water supply while my family was preparing to go out at 5pm. The hotel staff were unaware, and it took approximately 40 minutes for service to resume, resulting in us being late for our dinner reservation. The staff throughout our stay were consistently as helpful as possible. It will be a lovely hotel once everything is built, however, we shouldn't have been sold this particular room right now.

Cute hotel in the heart of Paris. Nice rooms, comfy, and great value for the price. Friendly staff and easy walkable access to restaurants and some sights, or to public transport if you want to explore more of Paris.

The location of the hotel is excellent. It is situated in a very lively area with plenty of cafés, restaurants, and shops just steps away. The metro station is extremely close, which makes getting around Paris very easy. It is also conveniently located between the Marais and Montmartre, and quite close to the Opéra area, making it a great base for exploring the city. The hotel itself is very well maintained and spotless. The room was cleaned every day and everything felt very fresh and tidy. The bed was extremely comfortable, which made resting after a long day of walking around Paris very enjoyable. The staff were also very friendly and helpful, always willing to assist with anything we needed. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and we would definitely recommend it.
