Overview
Situated in the heart of a forest in the Gascogne region, this residence offers many facilities including an outdoor heated pool with a waterslide, an indoor heated pool, sauna and whirlpool. Le Vacancéole - Le Domaine des Grands Lacs is only 200 metres from the Lake of Bicarosse and 1 km from the local shops. There is a fitness centre and playground for children. In July and August, free sports activities are available for adults and teenagers. Guest rooms are fully equipped with a flat-screen TV and a kitchenette. “Good value for money, no luxury and great for families with kids of any ages.”
Very cozy camping style, good value for money and great environment. Loved the playground and partly covered swimming pool for my kids of 11 and 2 years old. 5-10 minute walking distance to a little beach by the lake, walkable with a stroller, shallow small bay by the lake which was great for the 2 year old.

For a holiday location this would suit perfectly, the suits are spacious and ours had an excellent private balcony overlooking the forest. We atayed one night enroute to basically visit the nearby Hyroaviation museum but this would meet the requirments of a young family for a longer stay.

The location, close to the lake. Premises are surrounded by greenery, plants, trees. The apartment on top floor of the chalet is roomy, comfortable, functional and well equipped, with a lot of greenery around and a (small) enclosed terrace (good as dog can’t run away around the property, on the ground floor the terrace is not enclosed though) The staff was very friendly, the director is also very professional and willing to make our stay enjoyable, not charging us for some options and helping with noise issues coming from guests late at night.

Had everything it said it would, good proximity to the lac, was clean and facilities were good. One heated pool and an outdoor one, which was very pleasant too. The apartment was basic, but clean and great value for money overall.

“Very peaceful and relaxing place for a weekend trip!”
It is a fantastic place to relax - not far from Bordeaux and other towns with amenities (supermarket...) while in a very quiet and peaceful place, with horses, a small lake, beautiful trees, a small river .... The owners are very friendly and welcoming. They have a cute spa facility where you can have various relaxing treatments done. It is a perfect place for couples as well as families with young children to enjoy a bit of countryside. Love it! Thank you
