Amazing! Great location - a minute walk from town and about 5-10 minutes to the beach. Super clean rooms with towels and extra blankets provided. But the best part was the woman who ran the hostel, who despite a language barrier with us was incredibly kind. Cooked up the best breakfast of our trip including fresh bread, fruit, cake, juices and scrambled eggs. Considering we came in the wet season, she always kindly lended us her umbrellas and even greeted us once with towels when we came back soaking wet after a night out. Couldn’t recommend more!!

“Great location, spacious and clean rooms, incredibly welcoming hosts!”
The host family at Jose e Maria are the most welcoming hosts we have ever experienced. They were friendly, chatty, kind and generous, and made us feel extremely welcome and at home. The room was bright and spacious, with plenty of wardrobe and bathroom space as well. The breakfast was an incredible selection of different options and for 2 people, the portions were very generous. The location of the hotel was spot on as well, being only a short walk into the historic centre. All in all, our stay was 10/10 and we would definitely recommend to others!
