I had a lovely stay at Pousada Antígona. The place is peaceful, welcoming, and full of charm, with a good breakfast that made the mornings even nicer. The highlight of my stay was definitely Matheus, the wonderful receptionist. He was the only person in the whole place who spoke English, which made a huge difference for me, but beyond that he was genuinely kind, attentive, and always ready to go the extra mile. He helped with everything and made me feel truly at home. Also there was another girl l, I think her name is Marcela, she also speaks English and she was very caring too. It is people like Matheus who turn a good stay into a memorable one. I left with very warm memories and would happily recommend this pousada to anyone visiting Paraty.

The buffet breakfast was really nice. It's a small pousada so the buffet is not massive, but the products were always fresh and with homemade treats, which for us made a big difference. The list of breakfast items is almost always the same, but they will vary the type of cakes and pastries. It was also a nice treat to always have coffee and cake for a mid afternoon snack. The staff there is super friendly and attentive, heads up to Carol and Deborah and the two girls helping with breakfast that made the best scrambled eggs. Our room was massive for 2 girls and we found it really comfortable. The location is great too, as it is walking distance to the historic town, beach, supermarkets and restaurants

Everything, location was ideal and the staff were friendly I would recommend staying here.

Our experience at Pousada Antígona was perfect. Their accommodation is even more picturesque than the photos, and the room was super comfortable. It’s in a great location - close enough to the old town while also feeling quieter and more relaxed. The breakfast was truly special - the best breakfasts we’ve had in Brazil so far! The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful - despite us speaking no Portuguese , they were super helpful and patient when we started using our translator app. They helped us book onto a great boat tour and gave us recommendations for onward travel. Couldn’t recommend Antigona more highly.

Loved our stay. The pousada is gorgeous. Spotless. Rooms were lovely. Very large bed which was very comfy. Rooms modern. Big smart tv in room. Staff so friendly and helpful. Big breakfast buffet in morning with lots of options. Outside area is really nice and pool is great. Location fantastic - just short walk across river and your in historic centre. Or less than 10 min to nearest beach. We were so pleasantly surprised with our stay and would highly recommend.

Breakfast was great and the staff were nice, although they don't speak a word of any other language than Portuguese (and us not a word of Portuguese). The superior room was fantastic.
