Such a beautiful place in wonderful surroundings. Olivier and Rensa have created a fantastic eco lodge, off grid, no phones. Joy. Solar power and well water. We loved the open-air shower, chilling on the shady veranda, sunning under the trees, drinking cooling home-made lemonade, cycling to the beach through the fields and watching bee-eaters from the hammock. Olivier is a great host and the food, as expected, delicious Indonesian with a French twist. Excellent arak cocktail not to be missed.

The staff was amazing and so welcoming, the place is really clean and very cozy. Food that was served was good. The shower and toilet facilities were actually surprisingly good! We also loved the decor and the books describing the owners (Oliviers) life was really fascinating!

Excellent place to stay, comfortable and great food. We took the kayak down the river, it was fabulous!

Enjoyed 4 wonderful nights, enjoying their hospitality and local knowledge. The food was wonderful with lots of local produce. The activities of cycling, and particularly the kayaking up river was great. Excellent cold beer. Plenty of homemade electricity, but very little phone service or wifi which was very refreshing. Communicate to them via WhatsApp.

Loved our time in Les 4 Pohons, we spent one day and one night, did some kayaking and enjoyed the delicious food. The highlight for us, besides the calm and beautiful environment, were our discussions with Olivier. It was great and fun hearing about the stories of his adventures. We would have loved to stay more and won’t hesitate to come back !

When I first set foot in 4 Pohon, I knew that I would miss everything about it, that it would leave something ineffable but powerful in me. Apart from the ultra-comfortable bungalows, the luxury here is in the silence, under the fantastic starry sky. 4 Pohon is completely self-sufficient in energy, the result of a huge amount of hard work by Olivier. But what touches me most is the presence of Renza, Olivier and Alpha, Oksana the lovely daughter of Olivier and Renza, their goodness, their incredible kindness. For those with a sweet tooth, between a marvellous lemon tart, fucking delicious chipirons, grilled eggplants, pasta con parmigiano, crabs or others depending on what's available, a simple but absolutely and resolutely delicious cuisine, family cuisine !!!!! Close your eyes and let yourself be carried away by Olivier's wild tales of adventure as he travels the world. I miss 4 Pohon because of that and much more I hope you will discover by yourself. my life is changed forever because of them. Thank you so much for making me so much better !!!!! I miss you all folks !!!!!

Excellent layout. Attention to detail for the clients comforts. Lighting and outside toilet and shower were clean . It all work so well. A credit to the couple who ran it. Lovely family. So helpful and a great chief. You can appreciate all the hard work that goes into this place.it doesn’t come over night . One of the best places I have stay it well worth a visit.

It is an extremely interesting lodge, with colorful cabins. The location makes the place. You’re surrounded by a beautiful landscape, close to the river and private beaches. Olivier, his family and the staff are great hosts! And his small warung has one of the best food I’ve tried.

We had a lovely 2 nights in 4P with the charming proprietor Olivier who is very happy to explain everything and treats guests like they were part of the family. It is a special, peaceful place, pretty much off grid, as is Olivier in his heart. Due to river course changes following a flood some years back there is now no direct river access, but Olivier and his crew drove us 10 minutes down the road to the head of the river where we had a wonderful few hours on the kayak paddling upstream and back again, HIGHLY recommended, we could have spent all day there (they will make a packed lunch if you like). Food was tasty albeit there is no menu, Olivier just asks what you would like to eat! One day they baked fresh bread which we were delighted with after a solid week of rice on Flores. Our room was basic but comfortable with a nice veranda. Olivier makes his own conserves and fruit syrups, as well as the highest quality dried spices such as vanilla, and also wild honey which we liked so much we purchased a jar off him. Also the homemade ice cream was a huge treat! Thank you to the family and staff for making us feel totally at home, we wish we had stayed longer. There is no WiFi but really that's kind of the point. NB the road both east and west is good asphalt, save for a few km directly to the west through the village. It took us about 45 mins to get to Riung afterwards.

We liked everything ! This place is absolutely amazing ! Olivier and Renssa are such fantastic people . The room are nice very well equiped ! The kitchen and the shower are amazing. You should Definitely go through 4 Pohon to live the experience of freedom
