“Confirmed reservation means nothing here — we arrived late at night after a long drive and were told”

Avoid this hotel if you actually expect your reservation to be honored. My husband and I booked a luxury suite with a jacuzzi about a month in advance as a birthday gift for me. After driving almost the entire day, we arrived late at night expecting to check into the room we had confirmed. Instead, we were told that the suite we reserved was not available. No clear explanation was given. The only option offered was a regular room with a very strong chlorine smell, which was completely different from what we had booked. What was most shocking was the attitude of the staff. They were indifferent, unfriendly, and made no real effort to resolve the situation. We were essentially told that if we were not happy, we could complain or go somewhere else. After a full day of driving and arriving late at night with a reservation made a month earlier, we were left without the room we booked and had to search for another place to stay in the middle of the night. Yes, the hotel eventually refunded the money, but that does not fix the situation. A hotel that cannot guarantee a confirmed reservation and leaves guests stranded at night shows extremely poor management and customer service. If you book here, be aware that even a confirmed reservation may not mean you will actually have a room when you arrive.
