“False advertising”

My family and I stayed at Villa Valija from January 29 - 31, 2025. I made a reservation through Booking and the reason why I decided to pay extra and chose this property was the heated pool. There were only a few properties listed in Palm Springs that had a heated pool. Upon our arrival, I noticed that the water in the pool was cold. We found a folder in the kitchen with the safety tips, including the instruction that if we wanted to use the heated pool, we should have let the agency know 24 hours in advance. When I called the after hour contact number provided by the property, the lady on the other line said that it will take 24 hours for the pool to heat up, even though we were staying for two days. giving the impression she/the agency/renter did want to spend the money or be bothered with coming to turn the heat on. During our conversation when I called the contact number to inquire about the heat, the line broke two times, and she never called me back. I've been using Booking for years and I travel often. I've never had a complaint and this is the first time writing a bad review. In my opinion, this was poor customer service, and an example of the false advertising on Booking. I'll repeat that the only reason I rented this property over otbwr similar properties was the heated pool. Other than that, we were happy with everything else.
