Property is so central to everything in the old town. Walk out the front door and restaurants all around you. Walked around for the day then would pop on back to apartment to refresh and shower then back out again. Lovely stay. Book it. U won’t be disappointed.

I booked a surprise trip to Palermo for my partner’s birthday and chose Maison Opera. I already thought it looked great, but it truly exceeded every expectation. Angela was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. Before we even arrived, she sent a list of great places to eat, and she was always available for any questions. She even prepared wine and cookies for our arrival, which was such a sweet touch. The apartment itself is lovely: modern, spotless, and with an amazing bed. Even the pillows were incredible, and that’s saying something coming from someone who usually travels with her own because of neck pain. The location is perfect too. It’s on a charming little street surrounded by restaurants, and we felt safe, comfortable, and right in the heart of lively Palermo. The city as a whole was vibrant, fun, and everything you’d want from a quick getaway. Thank you, Angela. We’ll definitely be back!

The location was fantastic right in the heart of the old town with lots of buzz around. The cleanliness was immaculate and the apartment was well equipped with everything that you need for your stay. I would certainly come back next time and recommend to friends when they visit Palermo.

Location good- newly renovated unit within walking distance of everything The unit was neat and clean- actually spotless We were allowed an early check-in and are grateful for that! Supermarkets and many restaurants - all within walking distance NO MICROWAVE!! Washing Machine and Dishwasher share a plug – swopping plugs was a mission as a drawer full of dirtbins had to be packed out first in order to get to the back of the cupboard where the plugs were situated! No washing powder/liquid, no dishwashing liquid either- so we had to buy this in order to use either machine??? Host was not able to assist us by providing either washing machine or dishwasher liquid Many restaurants below the apartment- even with insulation still a bit noisy - so if you are a light sleeper it could be a problem Please note NO LIFT- MANY STAIRS TO BE CLIMBED- so be prepared for some heavy lifting Wifi good, Big SMART TV Lots of room for improvement but overall a good experience PS as is the case all over Europe, the clearing of bins at about 6.15am is a VERY NOISY affair!

Gorgeous renovated property. Literally in the heart of the “Centro Storico” in front of Teatro Massimo, couldn’t ask for a better location. The property was extremely well furnished, exceptionally clean and I couldn’t recommend it enough! If I ever come back to Palermo, I know where to stay!

Lovely decoration and so comfortable. We loved everything about it. Close to all the best parts in Palermo. Nice host that was available in our trip for any problems.

“Excellent apartment for two persons but at times the area can be noisy and very busy”

The "Maison Opéra" apartment is unusually attractive and spacious. It benefits from large well-made insulated windows, high ceilings and bright white walls and ceilings. We liked the relatively large kitchen and its full-size equipment, which includes clothes washer and dishwasher. Minor shortcomings are that the kitchen does not have a microwave or a toaster and there are no manuals or instructions in any language for the equipment. For a couple or, possibly, two persons the apartment is certainly comfortable, especially as it offers a very good large double bed and plenty of storage space. However, its suitability for more persons is uncertain for several reasons, including the use of heavy opaque glass doors for the bedroom and the bathroom. There is a small unfurnished space and a bathroom on the maisonette floor but the stairs up are rather rickety and their use calls for considerable care. The single large air-conditioner in the living room (the central room) provided enough heat for January mornings and evenings. It might well struggle in August to keep the three rooms of the main floor of Maison Opéra cool. The location of the apartment has its "pluses" and "minuses". It's in the center of Palermo's tourism and entertainment areas, which is very convenient but nights can be somewhat noisy, as we discovered this past Saturday. The apartment is two flights of steps up (no lift) but the steps are well-made. There are proper security doors. No cars -- not even taxis -- can approach the entry. The apartment was startling clean and nicely arranged when we arrived. Angela, who manages the apartment, has a good command of English, responded promptly and seems well-organized; her assistant dealt with the check-in and was less effective. Awaiting us were some sweets and coffee capsules but little toilet paper and absolutely no information about Palermo.

Absolutely incredible apartment in the centre of the city! Felt like we had won the jackpot when we stepped inside the apartment! Beautiful place that is decorated super well. Really spacious too! Had everything that we could have possibly needed (great to have a washing machine!) and the host went above and beyond to ensure that we had a truly perfect stay. The bottle of wine and welcome treats were a cherry on the cake. Loved the bathrooms and the bed was super comfy. Wish we could have moved in!
