“Not really a B&B”

The room was large and had a little balcony, large enough for two people and it was quite pleasant for a glass of wine in the evening. The bathroom is a bit tight but the water was hot so we could forgive that. The location is handy to quite a few bars and restaurants and we walked to the sights we wanted to see.

Our host Marcello was very friendly and informative. We enjoyed our stay very much and would stay at his place again if we visit Palermo in the future. It was centrally located and near to many excellent restaurants.

“Excellent accommodations!”

This charming accommodation is in the heart of the historic center just off Via Maqueda. We walked to Mercato del Capo, Quattro Canti, the Cathedral, the Norman Palace, the Palatine Chapel, and Teatro Massimo. It is surrounded by lots of bars, restaurants, gelaterie, shops, etc. The gentleman with whom I dealt, Marcello, was an excellent host. He gave us fabulous recommendations for pastries, pizzeria and restaurants. The room had a king bed and a single, ample room for luggage, and a nice-sized bathroom. The common area sitting room had a Frog coffee maker, too.

The location here is perfect, very central to everything. The views of the cathedral domes and mountains were also a highlight. The room was neat and tidy too.

“A peaceful, light filled haven in the middle of beautiful Palermo”

The BandB is in a fabulous location within a few minutes walk to many major attractions. It's a lively area with lots of cafés bars and restaurants. Our spacious and light filled room room was very quiet with the window closed and it was a delight to watch the world go by from our balcony. The whole place is very clean and the bed very comfortable. It's on the fifth floor with a lift and our room had a great view looking over the roofs to the hills surrounding Palermo. Our host Marcello was very kind and helpful when we had a passport stolen, was punctual and a very good communicator. We loved our stay and would definitely return.

“Nice and welcoming B&B”

Nice welcome from a friendly host. Pretty room, lovely bed, firm pillows. Windows at opposite sides (room and bathroom) gave eccellent ventilation.

The B&B enjoys a great location: we were able to walk to everywhere we wanted to see from it. Like much of Palermo city centre, the area around it is a little unprepossessing, but don’t let this put you off. Our room was clean and comfortable and we had lovely views of the city. There is no breakfast onsite: you can either opt to pay for breakfast upfront or pay when you arrive (it’s 3€ per person) and this buys you excellent coffee and a choice from a selection of croissants from a cafe 2 minutes walk from the B&B (or do your own thing). Our host (Marchello) gave us great advice about what to visit locally. There is a communal area with a kettle, coffee maker and local guide books in a variety of languages. There are no permanent B&B staff as such. There are staff around in the morning when rooms are being cleaned for existing or for the arrival of new guests and when new guests are expected to be checked in: we were met to be allowed to drop off our cases in the morning of our arrival and then were met later in the day to be shown our rooms (check-in is after 2.30 pm) and have the locale explained to us. After this, we did not see any staff again, apart from the cleaner the next morning. Marchello did mention that someone would be around from 11.30 am on the morning we had planned to check out, but as we were heading off earlier than this, we were asked to leave our keys in our room. It was no great hardship not having on-site staff: we had keys and so getting in whenever we wanted to was very easy. The B&B is on the 5th floor of an apartment block: keep an eye out for its sign fairly high above the right of its double door entrance: we missed it first time. Ring the bell for admittance. It feels pretty informal, but seems to work fine. Despite being in an apartment block, it’s very quiet.

Very nice and clean room. We got plenty of tips from our host on things to see and restaurants to visit. Located within walking distance from plenty of nice sights and restaurants.

This hotel is great value and is in an ideal location. Perfect for a couple of nights in Palermo! And the view from the room was spectacular.

Our host Marcella was fantastic, letting us in to his well appointed apartment, quite late in the evening. He provided excellent choices of where to eat. The location is right in the heart of this vibrant city and very secure. Our room was spotlessly clean, very roomy with a great view over the city to the mountains with great Aircon. We would highly recommend this place any visitors to Palermo.
