We spent a wonderful long weekend holiday in Palermo, and wanted to find special accomodation - it was the greatest choice! The hosts were great, the place is fantastic: very close to the sights you want to see, still very quiet if you want some peaceful moments. The boat is really nice, the bedroom is very cosy, and you can relax on the terrace. Highly recommended!

We stayed here with my mom in December. The place where the yacht is located is insanely beautiful. The house boat is very comfortable for staying, with everything you need. A special thanks to the yacht owner, Martina, for her attention, help, and such a warm welcome❤️ We would be happy to come back here again!

“Unique and special place to stay with amazing hosts”

The boat was one of the highlights of our trip- comfortable, convenient and a real talking point - the marina location was perfect- easy stroll into town and close to everything we wanted to see. As a family of 4 it was a good size and the outside space was a real bonus. The hosts were so kind and helpful and gave us lots of tips for our stay- it really felt that we had friends on hand- thank you Martina and Diego for a wonderful stay we would love to come back!

Absolutely incredible and cosy boat, moored in a safe, convenient location. The communication with Martina was excellent, before, during and after our stay, with plenty of recommendations for the local area.

“The top place to stay in Palermo!”

This was, hands down, the best place I have ever booked! Even before our arrival, Martina contacted us and gave us lots of useful information about Desirè and the local area. She was very easily contactable and quickly answered any queries we had. The stay on desire exceeded all our expectations - the boat was beautifully clean, and had everything we could ever need. There was great attention to detail including lots of extra lighting, 2 fridges (one on deck), and a Bluetooth speaker. Below deck, the air-con was a lifesaver when escaping from the 30oC heat, and the mattress in the main bedroom was more comfortable than most hotels (we forgot we were on a boat!). Desirè is located very close to the centre of Palermo, with all amenities only a short walk away. The marina is also very modern with lots of restaurants, cafes and bars. I hope to return again in the future, and would recommend a stay on Desirè to anyone wishing to visit Palermo. Thank you for a superb experience!

Everything was amazing!!! We loved staying on the boat and we wished we booked more days😍 Martina the host is so kind!! Also, the historical center of Palermo is very close (walkable distance) as well as bus station if you’d like to see some beaches around.

Location fantastic, Martina was lovely giving us lots of useful information and she was always on hand if any problems occurred. Such a brilliant host.

The boat is clean and in a convenient location. If you are missing something you can find it at the port where the boat is. The hosts are very kind and will take care of your every wish. The service is at a high level.

“Magnificent boat in a beautiful, peaceful and tranquil location!”

The boat was absolutely wonderful and this turned out to be the highlight of our trip! It is incredibly spacious, stylishly decorated and equipped, spotlessly clean and the bed was so comfortable! After spending 4 days in Palermo Old Town near the cathedral it was a joy to stay in the peace and tranquility of this beautiful marina. It was so quiet that we slept until 10.30am twice! The owners of the boat, Martina and Diego are such a beautiful couple and could not have been more helpful to us. Martina kindly organised a shared taxi for us to the airport which was brilliant. They left wine and snacks and plenty of coffee and milk for us. The marina facilities are excellent and there are many good restaurants close by and it is not far to walk to many of the historic attractions of Palermo. All in all a fantastic experience not to be missed...but definitely to be repeated and recommended 😀 Thanks so much Martina and Diego

The boat is located in a safe and well-located marina. Even before our arrival, we were extremely well looked after by Martina, who gave us all the necessary tips for our stay. The boat was clean, well-kept and comfortable. We definitely loved our stay and highly recommend it.

Martina and Diego were amazing ! They were very kind, resposive and helpful. The boat was clean, comfortable and fully stocked with everything you would possibly need. We will definitely sleep there again if we head to palermo in the future.

This was a fantastic experience. Martina, the host, was so attentive and was available at all times over message to give recommendations and help regarding any questions I had. The boat itself is brilliant. It was well stocked with coffee, a bottle of wine on arrival and some snacks. It was clean, well equipped with anything you need to cook and eat, and had a great sleeping, bathroom and lounge areas. I was solo, but I imagine if you are a couple or small family this would be fun. The boat is in a great location. It’s a 5 min walk from the main old town and is in a marina that has a locked gate, and is super safe. They have security patrolling and I never once felt unsafe. I highly recommend this to anyone. It’s a lot more interesting than a hotel or apartment Overall, amazing host, great location and worth the money. I’m considering rebooking for next year. Thanks Martina!

Excellent experience, excellent hosts, nothing was too much trouble for Martina

Location is brilliant, in the new modern harbour of Palermo but just a couple of minutes walk from the old town where tons of restaurants and bars are located. Street markets (Vucciria and Ballaró) are also very close. The boat is great, fully equipped, nothing is missing. Bed is comfortable. In the morning, sitting outside in the sun is truly amazing and a run alongside the harbour is the perfect way to start the day! And, most important of all, Martina and Diego are amazing hosts, they welcome you at your arrival, take you through the facilities and the practicalities and they give you all the necessary suggestions regarding Palermo (breakfast, shopping, restaurants, bars, trips outside the city, etc…) Our kids saw the pictures from our stay and they have already wished for us to go back together with them. So, another trip to Desiré will have to be scheduled soon! 😉

For anyone who looks a different kind of accommodation, we liked everything about the boat, especially the little details making it feel homey

very nice boat with great sitting area. the marina has nice teraces and restaurants and a bakery all just opposite the boat. showers also very nearby. The hosts are very friendly. Great place to stay and walking distance to city center but without the noise.

The boat itself is simple, but super cute and has everything you would need! It was the first timing staying on a boat, we slept so good and was so special to wake up and be directly at the water and lay on the deck enjoying the sun! Everything is in walking distance yet it was still relaxing and peaceful! Martina our host was incredibly friendly and gave us great tips to enjoy the weekend! Thank you, loved it :-)
