“Convenient, clean and helpful staff”
Great hidden gem, close to Palermo and close to some great walking around Monte Pellegrino/green spaces. The staff were excellent and shops etc in walking distance. Good value for money.

Casena has a special charm, rooms are really good, the environment is beautiful. Staff is friendly and really helpful. Breakfast is various and very delicious.

“Overall excellent stay”
The room was good,airy and spacious, with a nice patio area and grounds. There was wide choice for breakfast.Also a lovely evening restaurant, with excellent menu and friendly staff.Reception was very helpful, ordering taxis for us to the City centre, which arrived quickly each day..Overall we really enjoyed our stay. It was very quiet and relaxing. If we were going back to Palermo again, we would definately book again.

hotel clean but room acoustically a disaster, you can hear everything from the kitchen and what's going on around the yard, there's no peace and quiet when asked to give us a quieter room further away, the surcharge is 30 e per night breakfast quite ok and helpful waiters

I know I should have read it, but most of the time no one is charging tourist tax apart from what they charge for room. Here it was extra ~5€ per person per night and I got to know it at counter. Had they added this to price shown in booking, I'd chose better place to stay in...

“Certainly wouldn’t recommend.”
The room was the most austere I have ever stayed in - a plastic chair and a plastic bin, with a chipboard desk and a bed that was rock hard. The overhead shower head didn’t work, and the shower enclosure didn’t close properly, meaning the floor flooded. The walls to the room were paper thin, meaning we heard everything going on in a neighbouring room. Breakfast - the fruit was tinned, the fruit juice was from a machine, as was the coffee. Lots of cakes and pastries if I had wanted them. Ultimately, when we checked out, the staff didn’t stop their conversation, and were monosyllabic to us.
