“Our favourite stay in Mexico!”

The location was amazing - in the forest, quiet and serene. The cabins were lovely, a really good size with a comfirta le bed and lovely patio to sit ohtside and enjoy tbe nature. The lady at the reception was super helpful and very kind! There is free coffee in the cafe which was really good quality. Fantastic!

Nice set of bungalows on the edge between the jungle and farmland. Lots of trees and birds. The bungalows are clean and well kept, the restaurant is only in use for breakfast but serves as a big nice sitting area for the rest of the time.

The common spaces were so relaxing. It is such a lovely family business with helpful staff. I definitely recommend it.

The owners were very friendly and happy to help in any way they could. Taking us to Palenque was no problem and also making us a late dinner.

“Hidden Gem In a Peaceful Natural Setting”

Pool was excellent. Nice size and appreciated the natural filtration system they created to keep the water clean. We stayed for 3 nights and they offered different breakfast options each day. Very tasty food. They also grow some of their own food (eggs, ducks), or alternatively get their supplies from the local community. Excellent family run eco-lodge in a wonderful location close to attractions and in a natural, quiet setting. It was perfect for us.

“Lost in nature!”

Very welcoming, cheerful, and helpful hosts. They served us breakfast earlier so we could arrive at the opening of the archaeological site. The father showed us the moon through his telescope: beautiful! The bungalows are basic, with comfortable bed, recommended for those who want to experience something different in nature!

Lovely locarion in the nature, simpke but spacious and clean room. Very tasty breakfast.lovely and very kind staff. They prepared breakfast 30 min earlier so that we could be at palenque for the opening. Tx!

Perfect stay in the jungle at a sweet family hotel! Especially the transfer service to the maya ruins and the maya train station was very helpful! And great food as well! Greeting to Helena and her dad 🙃

“Really great!”

Everything was really great! The garden is really beautiful, full of hummingbirds. Abel the owner and Elena, his daughter, took really good care of us, gave good recommendations and organized our visit to Yaxchilan and Bonampak, with an excellent dériver and guide. They also organized our transfer to and from the airports.

Wonderful little hotel with a super helpful and nice staff

“Absolut amazing hotel & staff”

The accommodation and the family who look after it are a golden find. The houses are in the middle of the jungle, you are immersed in nature and everything in the hotel is designed to be in harmony with the environment - even the food is home-grown and was some of the best we had on our trip. The warmth of the staff also deserves special recognition. We had a few transportation problems and they helped us immediately and with all available resources. The houses are superbly equipped, very, very clean and even with several guests it feels as if you are on your own. You can easily get to the Palenque ruins with the hotel's own transport at any time and be picked up again, it takes about 15 minutes. We had no car during our stay, so you can access the hotel also via Taxi. All in all, a really great stay (10/10) that we would definitely recommend to anyone.

Amazing location surrounded by trees with seclusion from the hustle and bustle of life. A great chance to observe wildlife and lovely welcoming staff that where incredibly helpful. We saw humming birds outside our room, saw howler monkeys and watched the parrots fly over to roost at night.

You feel very close to nature staying at Winíka Alterra. The natural swimming pool is fantastic! A family of howler monkeys was staying near the property, which was wonderful to see.

In the middle of 'nowhere'. Very nice surroundings. Room was spacious and clean. Lots of privacy. Good WiFi! Nice restaurant menu and good food. The local ice cream! yum.
