Beautifully renovated 150-year-old house with a lot of character. We were upgraded to a better room, which was a lovely surprise. The bathroom was stunning, and the entire property was uniquely decorated with what seemed to be antique pieces, creating a special atmosphere. The house has a slightly "haunted" feel due to its age and décor, though we actually found it charming and part of its unique character. OThe breakfast was very good, and the owner was very kind and tried to help us arrange a rental car.

“A unique hotel experience right between Painesville and Mentor”
This is a unique hotel with every room having a different theme/decor, set in a classic old mansion. It is as much a museum as a hotel, and that includes the hallways! They managed to find us a room with 2 separate beds (The Railway Room) which was nice since we weren't traveling as a couple. It's worth it to have a look at whatever other room you can, they're all lovingly decorated. The location is great; easy access to Painesville or Mentor with all the shops and restaurants a short drive in either direction.

breakfast was simple , but excellently prepared. The bacon and home fries--I was sad when I became full. Best I can remember. We are 430 miles away. My wife wishes we were closer. Thanks for taking pride in what you do.

“Brings you back to another time”
Loved the old fashioned collectibles in the rooms. Breakfast was all fresh and no one was rushing us although we came after the allotted time. They even had coffee/tea in the lobby. We stayed after checkout just to look around the house. It was so beautiful.

“I would definitely come back on my next trip through Ohio.”
The house itself is worth a visit. It is like a museum of American history. The breakfast was amazing. It consisted of bread, eggs, hamburgers, fresh fruit, yogurt and more.

This is a beautiful place to stay. Breakfast was good, with a variety that would satisfy most people. I really enjoyed being able to walk through the uncooked rooms and see all the antique.
