The hosts are wonderful!! What lovely people they are, they bend over backwards to make your stay perfect, thank you. The breakfasts each morning were varied and fabulous. The room was lovely and big (Africa), and comfortable. The bed was a little too soft for me, but that is purely down to choice!! The area is lovely, with lots to explore. A visit to the Ile de Brehat is a most, it is truly beautiful. All in all a perfect 4 nights stay, and we highly recommend this lovely home.

“Absolutely wonderful !”

The property was an easy walking distance, about 25 mins or less , to Paimpol harbour. Our hosts were wonderful, warm and inviting , the friendliest , nicest hosts that we have ever met ! Véronique and Stéphane provided us with a wonderful continental style breakfast complete with a different fresh, delicious home baked cake every morning, including banana bread, almond cake, Far Breton, pound cake and other homemade goodies ! The breakfast room was used as a common room all day where one could enjoy free tea and coffee .Our accommodation was spacious ,bright, comfortable and quiet. Onsite parking was a real bonus . Seating was available for relaxing in their beautiful,peaceful garden. Special thanks to Stéphane for helping with a minor car issue with his local garage which saved us a lot of trouble. We highly recommend Chambres d’hôtes “Le Clos de La Baie”.

“A charming Guest House in a beautiful area”

Le Clos de la Baie is a delightful guest house located in a village just outside Paimpol in Brittany, only a few minutes walk from the sea. It is run by a husband and wife team who are very experienced in the field of hospitality. Both spoke excellent English (having spent several years working in England) and who kept both the house and its grounds in superb condition. The flowers in the garden, even at this time of year (September) were beautiful. Our first-floor room was large with a lovely view from the window, especially at sunrise (see photo below). It was kept very clean and was equipped with modern, up-to-date equipment (shower etc.). On the ground floor was a comfortable lounge area provided with tea/coffee making facilities (which were, of course, free). This room also served as the Breakfast Room and these were invariably good. The bread, as nearly always in France, was wonderful, a variety of meats and cheeses was provided together with the usual jams and honey and we had different cake every day. After all that, lunch wasn't always needed! The guest house was a great base from which to explore the area, which we did at length. Paimpol is a lovely old town with a beautiful harbour, filled with boats of all sorts and sizes and it is well served by a wide variety of good restaurants, so we ate well every evening.The coastline in the area is dramatic and beautiful and anyone visiting should not miss the Pink Granite coast a few kilometres away. ' Le Clos de la Baie' is a lovely guest house, the hosts are delightful and the location excellent. Both my wife and I enjoyed a wonderful stay there and we can recommend it to anyone planning to visit the area.

Excellent location on easy walking distance to Paimpol harbor and its bars and restaurants. Friendly and dedicated staff. Lovely garden. Very close to the beach. Lots of hiking paths nearby. Great place to stay.

Wonderfully professional and friendly hosts, added touches such as free tea, coffee refreshments available all day in the bright spacious breakfast room, an honesty bar, books, local information. Very comfortable bed, good breakfast.

Great chambres d'hôtes with very friendly and accomodating owners who really enjoy taking care of their guests. It has an atmosphere that makes you feel right at home and there are both a common room and a very nice courtyard to relax in. The rooms are comfortable, well designed and thoughtfully decorated.

Charming place managed by a lovely couple. The beach next door is not ideal for a swim but close enough to Paimpol port and other beaching spots. A great stay there.

Recently renovated spacious room; very nice bead; quite place, close to coast; parking on site. Great hosts, cheerful and helpful, and providing wonderful breakfasts with local specialties. Attention to detail as in the case of a gluten-free diet (not just the regular gf bread but also gf local specialties! Much appreciated)
