The house is in the middle of a beautiful garden full of exotic flowers and greens, so the mornings are a pure glory. The open air shower was quite a unique experience for us too! “Hidden gem in Bedugul area”

Staying at Jane’s House was a unique experience. I felt as home since the minute is stepped in. This places has everything. Starting by Ketut and his brother, they offer the kind of Balinese hospitality that’s hard to beat: warm, genuine, and always ready to help. Each morning, the delicious breakfast was a real treat, making me ready for the day. The peaceful surroundings and authentic charm of the area made it the perfect place to unwind. The house is a beautiful, cozy and brand-new wooden house, Balinese style, kept in impeccable condition. The area is very authentic, surrounded by lush native nature, full of beautiful spots to visit, bunch of waterfalls, and only 20 minutes from the stunning Beratan and Buyan lakes…a lot to see! This is an ideal spot for both tranquility and exploration…..in short, it has everything you could ask for! I’d be happy to return to again and again.

“Peaceful retreat in beautiful surroundings”

Jane's House was a dream. The location, up in the hills of Central Bali, is beautiful , with a stunning view from the terrace of my chalet. The traditional style house was spacious and comfortable and I enjoyed soaking in the stand alone bath! There's lots of really hot water available, . unlike in many places in Bali. Ketut, the owner, couldn't have been kinder and more helpful with planning an excursion to the Botanical gardens and the wonderful Puru Bratan temple 30 minutes drive away. His brother served up good breakfasts and took me by scooter to the little restaurant down the road. It's a long way from the tourist hotspots..a farming area which is still the authentic Bali. I would definitely return.

The host was incredibly warm and welcoming, and even offered some delicious local Balinese snacks like kedan and injin — they were so tasty! The place has a simple yet beautiful garden, clearly cared for with love. There are peace lilies, young coconut trees, purple coleus, and a charming frangipani tree. It was so relaxing to just sit there and enjoy the peaceful vibe. A truly heartwarming stay! 🌿🌺

Breakfast was nice but a little more variety would have been good.

It was a big deal—an unbelievable mountain view from the bathroom, a well-equipped house, and breakfast included. You can also use the kitchen facilities. Ketut was very friendly. On the way to the property, Google Maps led us the wrong way, making it impossible to drive there by car. We had to stop halfway between the main road and the property early at night. The road was narrow, and I couldn’t manage to reverse and return to the main road. Ketut came by scooter and helped me get to the property, which I highly appreciate. We stayed here for 2 nights and visited Ulun Danu Beratan Temple, Bali Handara Gate (came around 6:30PM, parked the car near the gate on emergency light, and made photos and videos for free), Twin Lake View and Banyumala twin waterfalls. Also took a Balinese massage in Bedoegoel.

“Luxurious, soothing, authentic”

This place is wonderful. The location is ideal, 15 minutes away from the city center, it allows you to experience the beauty of the northern countryside, surrounded with jungle and rice terrasse. Everything is incredibly lush and green. The chalets are luxurious, cosy and well equipped. The bathroom is incredible, it was very pleasant to take a bath with the view of the garden after a day of exploring national parks, temples and lake ! Ketut and his staff are incredibly helpful and truly made me feel at home. They anticipated my needs, found solutions when needed, went the extra mile to accommodate and were very welcoming. You won’t regret staying here.

A nice breakfast cooked for you in the kitchen of the villas. The host is very pleasant all of the time and very helpful with local information and transport. The gardens are very well kept and very beautiful.

In a fabulous location, in a sophisticated building, quality service

“Beautiful Balinese wooden cottage with a nice and large open-air bathroom, near to many attractions in North/Central”

Kekut’s self-built house is perfect for the nice and cool ~20°C weather in Bedugul (1.3km above sea level). It’s private, has its own fence and gate and only 2 houses in the property, each housing only 2 pax. All the basics are well-covered: drinking water dispenser, hot shower water, stable power, even a small kitchen if you want to do some meal prep. Breakfast was a large spread and everything was delicious and personally prepared by Kekut every morning! Many key attractions (strawberry farms, temples, waterfalls, lakes) are just maybe half an hour’s drive away. We were very lucky to be able to hire Kekut to drive us around, including airport transfer. Through him, we’ve learnt so much about Balinese culture and traditions, and now we really understand why this part of Indonesia is so unique and popular. He is also super patient and friendly and very respectful of our personal space. I hope many more tourists will get the same experience we did, because I honestly think it’ll be one of the best ones I’ll ever have in my life. Thank you Kekut, if I return to the region I will definitely return.
