“Fabulous house”

Excellent location - close to so many sights yet on a quiet street. We had no trouble with parking on the street outside the house. The house was immaculately clean and is beautifully decorated. Beds are very comfortable and the showers are lovely. Communication from the hosts was excellent. I highly recommend a stay here.

We loved the position in the old part of the town rather than the tourist area. It was great to be able to walk around the corner to not one, but two superb bakeries and a wonderful cheese shop. The house itself is old and quirky but very clean and beautifully decorated. Beds are very comfortable with nice cotton bedding and both bathrooms are lovely with good, hot showers. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

For our purposes the apartment was ideal. (We visited the D Day landing battel fields) The apartment was very well equipped and clean and ideal for 2 couples.

Everything - loved the locals bar / tabac around the corner and the restaurant La Rosa also just around the other corner.

We were met at the property by the host. He showed us around and explained a few things then left us to settle in. The property is spacious and clean with a fully equipped kitchen, 3 good sized bedrooms and 2 lovely bathrooms. The property is situated over 3 floors which offers privacy if you are visiting with another couple/friends. The top floor has a large bedroom and en-suite and the middle floor has 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. Parking is on the street or behind the cinema a short walk away. The area feels very safe. There are 2 amazing bakeries in the village just one minute walk away.

We had a VERY warm welcome from Agathe and she made it very clear that she was there to help. A very nice location in one of the town centres- yes, Ouistreham has three of these - and very easy to get around on foot. It was a real home from home.

“A terrific house in a great location”

The building is a beautifully restored and upgraded 1802 fisherman's house in an ideal setting (for us), i.e. in a charming little street in the heart of an old neighbourhood, with imposing Church, bakeries, a bar and a grocery shop - all just a couple of minutes away (or less) by foot. We took two of the dining chairs outside to add to the existing outside furniture in the early evening, gin & tonic in hand and the sun in our face. Magic. That was how we met and chatted with several neighbours walking their dog or on their way out for the evening. Even the cinema building very close by is housed in an attractive old building. The bedrooms are comfortable and the bathrooms modern and in excellent order. Ouistreham is a really pleasant town, with a lovely cobbled pedestrian street leading down to the sea, with several restaurants, cafés and shops along it. We found the easterly part of the main beach by far the best in the area. The owners were very solicitous and helpful from the moment we made the booking until the day we left. So we knew we were in good hands, if we meeded anything.

The house was excellent and the hosts, who met us on arrival and came and wished us well when we left were helpful and friendly. The property was well situated for town shops and restaurants.
