“Perfect place to stay in Ouidah”

The CDAC is an amazing place to stay in Ouidah. Clean room, delicious food and very reasonable prices. The location is very calm, near the beach and not too far from the city center. But the best thing about the CDAC is the staff and the atmosphere. Everyone was extremely welcoming and helpful and their help and recommendations made all the difference for my stay. Previous reviews mention that it is hard to get to and from the city. That may have been true before, but now there are brand new paved roads all the way from the city center to the CDAC's entrance.

“Awesome place to stay in Ouidah”

The staff here are really hospitable and kind. The location is also close to major tourist attractions and the beach so if you're looking for a great place to stay in Ouidah, this is your best bet! The food here is also great and comes with fruit servings. Clementz the chef makes a mean meal. 😍😍 Justine the supervisor speaks French, some English and Yoruba which makes it a great option for non-french speakers. Conversing with the team helped improve my french. I also got to learn some traditional Benin dance steps which could very well be a major highlight of this trip.

“Great stay and insight into Ouidah and Benin's culture”

We had a great time at CDAC Elijah, especially thanks to Justin, who runs things and makes sure you have a nice experience of your visit to Ouidah. It is a great location close to the beach and close enough to Ouidah's town center to come and go every day.

“Host tries, but doesn't quite create a positive experience”

The pirogue boat tour of the local water communities is an absolute must. The guide was so kind and friendly and I really felt like I was immersed in local life.

The room was clean and had a mosquito net.

The places was calm, clean and Justine was really helpful. We enjoyed our stay. We'll be back again

“A Must-Stay place while in Ouidah, Benin Republic”

Our stay at CDAC was amazing! The rooms were clean and the mattresses especially, were very comfortable. Our boys loved them! The grounds are well landscaped with beautiful plants that are local to the area. Although we didn't get a chance to visit the beach, the location is just a short walk to the beach. Even though the roads were dusty, you can tell they're been worked on which we really appreciated. The staff was very friendly, Justine was exceptional in going out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. He escorted us to various places of interest in town and made an excellent guide. He spoke just enough English to not make sure language wasn't a barrier for us. The food was great, just as we orderd. The price was also very reasonable for the location and all that came with it. We will definitely visit again next time we're in the area.

“Perfect! Book it now!”

The stay was perfect. Justin the host treated me as family and went out of is way to make sure it was a perfect stay. He gave me his SIM card to use (cause the wifi was down), took me into town on his moto when needed, showed me the sights and took me to a voodo performance and his parents house for some drinks. All was down without any sense of ‘for profit’. He just really is a good dude! Food was suberb and well priced

“Very unique experience near the beach”

It’s a particular setting where you have the opportunity to be very close to the locals, as a traveller it was a unique experience, unforgettable. Justin is an incredible host, he has provide every single service and went above the limits to make my stay very smooth. Definitely recommend this place.

Staying at CDAC was a really cool experience. We are artists ourselves and we met many very interesting people, a great place to connect! The staff are exeptional, especially Justin who was the most helpful and friendly person ever! Thank you so much Justin for helping us with finding change, bringing us to the taxi stand and always finding cold beer for us - everything is possible!

Justin was truly amazing, cannot think in a better host. Great value for money, perfect place in a paradiasiac beach.

The staffs were so hospitable, especially the host. Even tho I don’t speak French/ local language I was still able to find my way around the community with the help of the host. Will definitely recommend!
