Everything about the chateau was exceptional! Our host Lars was very friendly and welcoming. Had lots of stories and local knowledge to share. He’s a genuine lovely guy, and amazing chef, if we’d been able to stay longer I would have been happy to consider a friend.

The best place we have stayed on our trip to France. Lars made us so welcome. Such a special experience to stay in a chateau. It’s such a lovely view from the chateau. Very nice sipping a wine from the terrace watching the sun go down.

Fabulous Chateau with stunning views, wonderful room full of history. Lars was a super Host, he was there to greet us and gave a warm and informative welcome. Dinner was an absolute delight, prepared by Lars, an excellent chef, Lars gave a full explanation of what dinner would be and how it would be prepared, loved it.

Chateau Haute Roche perches elegantly overlooking the Loire valley. Lars met us and immediately made us feel welcome. The Chateau is a perfect combination of timeless elegance and Nordic chic and is extremely comfortable. I would highly recommend having an evening meal as Lars culinary excellence and attention to detail was one of the highlights of our stay. If you can’t fit it in, the breakfasts are also beautifully presented with fresh produce from the garden and delicious.

A really wonderful place with superb furniture, paintings ,beautiful glass and a fabulous view. All in superb order but most of all the charming host Lars who couldn’t have been more welcoming and attentive. A perfect breakfast too and such a comfortable bedroom again with stunning views. The best b&b we have stayed.

The owners were so accommodating and gave us a great welcome. We were treated to fine dining at an exceptional price. The rooms were spacious, clean and well appointed with lovely views over the Loire valley.

We loved the charming hosts Lars and Nirin and the chateau they have restored with style. The dining terrace has a beautiful view over a valley with Nantes in the far distance. Lars cooked us a delicious, elegant and generous dinner and breakfast was perfect too. They made sure we felt welcome in their home and they entertained their guests with the history of their chateau. I'm especially grateful for Lars's suggestion we visit the oriental garden near Cholet. They put thought and grace into being hosts which made it a pleasure to stay with them. They only have a few rooms so it all feels personal.

We had a fantastic one night stay at the Château Haute Roche. The owners are warm, friendly and immediately make you feel at home. The room was immaculate, the bed very comfortable and the view over the Loire incredible. Lars, the manager-owner always has time for the guests and it was fascinating to hear his anecdotes about his travels and the surrounding area in the Loire. It's like being in a fairy tale. You immediately feel relaxed in the location. The town is a 20 min walk away which we enjoyed. Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the Loire was amazing. The owners make a lot of their own produce and some of this is served at Breakfast. We enjoyed walking around the grounds and seeing the beautiful gardens. A haven of peace. We will be returning.
