“Gorgeous flat and fabulous hosts”

The hosts Elcho and Dan are super responsive and caring. I added a friend to my booking and the hosts were able to accommodate our separate arrival and departure times and were very supportive with offering advice and suggestions for places to see and eat at. The flat is very well equipped and has guidance on all aspects of living in Ottawa and making best use of the flat (Think Dish washer; washing machine; dryer etc). The flat is spacious and charmingly decorated and furnished. If you spot any issues you can be sure the hosts will fix it - immediately! The location is fantastic set in a secure area of town (lots of embassies around), near some fabulous restaurants (check out Foodinator on Somerset), close to the river for a stroll in the park and less than 30min walking to Rideau. Bus routes (Somerset or Laurier) and O train nearby (uOttawa). Whether you look for a place to strike out exploring or need space for the family to keep yourself organised, this is a fantastic stay to book at a thoroughly competitive rate.

Location was why I booked with Elcho. Walked everywhere. The neighborhood was beautiful. Elcho was VERY accommodating to my last minute request for the second bedroom. The location and the hosts. Both Elcho and Dan made my stay easy, great advice for seeing the sites and where to eat. So welcoming and friendly. Easy to access the main sites by walking. Close to the river and park. The apartment is private, well equipped and so very clean. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

I found Elcho's place at the very last minute. this is what the universe had in store for me. this place is everything and the hosts Elcho and Dan welcomed me as if I was one of their own. they make me feel at home. the house is beyond clean, nice and beautiful. the neighborhood is among the best in the Ottawa area. if you are looking for a place where you can feel so good that you don't want to leave. you found it. at Elcho and Dan, I left my heart.

For the price paid I had an entire flat with a kitchen, front room , dining room and an extra bedroom for kids. Absolutely loved this place, all toys and games were provided so even though it did NOT stop raining there was still things to do. Parking was right outside, plenty of takeaway options 🤣, honestly one of the nicest places I have stayed and so reasonable! River opposite so plenty to do right outside too !
