The host was quick to respond to all our quries. The house was extremely clean n neat. Kitchen was fully loaded with all types of utensils, crockery, cutlery, cleaning agents. The layout is extremely peaceful and beautiful. In the month of April we had a beautiful sunrise view. Being a sunrise sunset chaser this was a bonus to me which wasnt mentioned in any reviews.

“Great stay close to Kyoto”
We booked this property with a bit of hesitation as there were very few reviews on booking.com and we didn’t regret it a second! It is in a very peaceful residential area, quiet, restful night’s sleep is guaranteed which was very important to us. The house is warm and cosy as we had a bit of a cold weather it was important. We felt at home and had a great base to explore the city of Kyoto, Otsu and all the surrounding area. There’s everything you would need in a household and more. There’s also a nice garden which we couldn’t use due to the cold weather. The owner is a very sweet attentive lady and a great host who took care of every single need of us, so that we felt like staying in a friend’s house. With or without car this accommodation is a great choice to escape the crowds of Kyoto and yet be in 25 min distance to downtown Kyoto. We stayed there for 10 days and explored the whole area. I cannot recommend Sayo’s place enough! I would love to come again sometime.

It was clean and all the things were well laid out with enligsh help stickers/labels all throughout the property.
