The hotel is quirky and the hosts are really welcoming and friendly. It is walkable to a nice coffee shop and a little further to a nice pizza place.

The people running this lodge are extremely friendly and helpful. They were willing to put up with my rudimentary Spanish, but actually, the owner speaks fluent English. The older lady who ran the kitchen while we were there, is adorable. The decoration of the main parts of the lodge is beautiful. Our room had a little outside sitting area overlooking Otavalo. When we returned in the evening, the fireplace was lit, and we spent a bit of time there, enjoying the ambiance of the common room.

Beautifull andean lodge. Great food and very helpful staff. The drive up is steep (only last 200m), but the road is hard and we had no problems with a small hatchback.

Amazing little castle near the wonderful waterfall of Peguche. Both the enterior and interior reflect the unique style of the owner Marcos, who was extremely friendly and helpful, and also knowledgeable about the local attractions (and as an extra, transported us to Quito Airport, which is quite far away). Highly recommended if you want to avoid the crowd and have a piece of Ecuadorian Paradise instead. (ps: there are real colibri birds in the garden, and words can not describe, how beautiful creatures they are).

Marcos was an excellent host. He spent time with us explaining the indigenous methods he used in the construction of this intriguing hotel. It has so many interesting features and its art decor is worthy of a gallery. Marcos even played his Native American flute for us. Isolinda was kind and very attentive, and breakfast & dinner were both delicious.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. The choice of colors, traditional paintings, books and fabrics, and the beautiful woodwork make this one of my favorite places. The views are fantastic and the area is so relaxing. The staff is super welcoming, from the manager, who is a super friendly, kind and knowledgeable man, to the cook and the housekeeping staff, with whom we had some sweet conversations and made us feel right at home. My mother in law had an upset stomach and they were super kind accommodating food for her and giving her an oregano tea which was a real game changer. The breakfast was delicious and the space in the restaurant is so peaceful. The hotel is just a delightful walk away from the cascada de Peguche, so if you are into hiking, nature, and learning about indigenous traditions, this is the place for you.

Perfect for those interested in walking down to the market through the countryside and staying above the city. Unique property decorated with love and Ecuadorian culture. Woman at the front desk, serving breakfast, making fires in the room, etc. was SO lovely. She made the visit very special for us. And so did the house dog. Both adorable.

The location, property and staff were highlights of our stay. Walked into town for the market, close ware fall hike and lovely breakfast. We also loved the house puppy dog.
