This is very peaceful independent house. The atmosphere was really good. Owner picked me up and drop me off when I checked in and checked out. It is far away from the town, but local buses are running regularly. Easy to catch them.

It is far from the city, there are no restaurants and supermarkets, and the hotel has no front desk, so check-in is not very smooth. But the room is quite comfortable, there is a clean kitchen, and there is a free parking space. If you need a quiet rest, this is a good place. I stayed here for two days and slept very comfortably.

The place is good to take a rest. Nice rooms with a beautiful view of the mountains and the Laguna with a full equipped kitchen. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming as well. They were offering to pick me up from the bus station :) gracias

“A very cosy place with a great host!”

The owner was amazing, very friendly and helpful, the communication was great right from the beginning, he picked me up from the bus stop and took me to the accommodation, he did the same when I left. My favourite part of the place was the fireplace where I spent an entire evening warm and very cosy. The bed was very comfy and there are a lot of blankets in the room which are appreciated at night. The village is lovely, the people there are really nice, very traditional, and Laguna de San Pablo is within walking distance. Thank you, I had a nice stay! :)

The place is realy great, the owner and is family are welcoming and helpfull. It s a little paradise in the montagne! Easy to access by otavalo, from the bus terminal you take the bus to san pablo and get down at Gonzales Suarez (0,35$) and from there you just have to walk 5min following the maps location. I highly recommend this place for yoyr stay in the region !!

“Beautiful building, only downside is the location”

The lady who hosted me was very kind and helpful. The room had a small heater, and many blankets, all of which were welcome at night time. For the price, the room and facilities are excellent, and it is very characterful. Very good WiFi too. There is also a small kitchen were you can prepare food or heat water.

“The rest that I needed!”

El Descando was exactly what I needed, a quiet place up in the Andes with a beautiful view of the amazing scenery, including a lake and a volcano. Edwin and his family made me feel completely at ease and really went above and beyond to make everything comfortable. The house is a result of Edwin's dream and he keeps building on it piece by piecem enjoying every step of the way. The house has everything you could ask for, several spaces to take it easy, a fireplace that you can use, a full-equipped kitchen, hammocks, guitars, speakers. And the room was great too, well-equipped for the cold climate. Would recommend to everyone!
