“Nothing and not recommended to stay at this house”

The owner failed to inform us about the icy and dangerous slope to the house. Our car nearly involve in an accident due to lack of information about the risky road. The owner is ignorance to our multiple plead for our family safety. We are willing to pay 1 night cancellation and requested for the balance to refund but was rejected. Booking.com customer service agent promised and agreed to get us a refund but end up nothing and we are being charged full cancellation. Not worth the risk to stay in this house

The location although up a very steep hill was good. We could walk down to the main little village area (with caution!). The massage chair was a big hit after a long day snowboarding. The teenagers made use of the mini pool table every night, although not super practical in location or size it did the job to entertain them! Good communication with the owners in regard to parking, and pre check in luggage storage. We had space for a couple of extra people, perhaps 2 families would make it more affordable. Great views… overall it was pretty good!

The house is huge and well equipped and house is beautiful. The only issue I have is that the house located on a hill with narrow road access.

We are avid travellers and as we live in the tropics, we often travel during winter to experience the snow. It was not our first visit to Otaru and we are experienced driving in snow. As the road to the property is a steep slope, with changes in temperature, the melted snow made the road too slippery to drive up. When I walked up, I slipped and fell and had to slide down to the bottom of the slope. We also saw a taxi alight passengers at the bottom of the slope, without luggage, it is possible to slowly climb.

The view from the window is very beautiful. The facilities in the room are perfect and very beautiful. Games and entertainment facilities are also perfect. The landlord was very nice and gave us gifts. A perfect stay experience.
