Everything was good. You need to through some doors and use the codes, like a escape room (same in all the places where I’ve stayed in Bergen). They give it to you all the instructions cleary. The room and the share areas were clean, comfy bed and the staff in the morning were really nice! It was worth it for the price!

The room was spotless and beautifully maintained, with great attention to detail, a very comfortable bed, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere that immediately made us feel at home. The location is perfect for exploring Oslo — well connected to public transport and close to major attractions, yet quiet and peaceful, ideal for relaxing after a long day in the city. A special mention goes to the staff: professional, friendly, and always helpful, making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. Overall, a stay that exceeded expectations in every way. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, quality, and a stress-free experience in Oslo. I would definitely return.

Place was disgusting. Full og mug and dirt everywhere. Toilet was dirty, shower head was broken. Washing machine was disgusting full of dirt and mug. Kitchen sink tap was broken. No hot water. No ventilation in the bedroom or living room. Bed made so much noise it was irritating. couldnt sleep, didnt shower couldnt breathe

“Stolen Property and Poor Security, Avoid due to Safety Concerns”

DO NOT STAY AT THIS PROPERTY! If you wish to keep yourself and your belongings safe, do not stay here. During my two-night stay, the property was broken into, and 200 euros worth of personal belongings were stolen. This theft was caught on video, but the owner refused to take accountability for the lack of security and denied my request to refund my stay as partial compensation for my stolen possessions. While I tried to work with the property owner to resolve this theft and work to improve the security for future guests, they refused to respond to my messages and were unwilling to issue any acknowledgement of responsibility. I am thankful that it was only some of my possessions that were stolen; this place is not safe for anyone to stay at. Security is severely neglected, and the property owners do not have the best interests of their guests or property in mind. The apartment was also quite poor. The fridge smelled moldy, and the counter had a permanent sticky layer to it. There is only one bathroom that is shared by at least 8 guests; I was constantly waiting to use it. *The property is also located less than one block from a hangout for drug addicts where I witnessed several drug deals occur.

I would strongly advise against staying here as a solo female traveler. I did not feel safe or comfortable at all during my stay. As a woman, I had a very unpleasant experience with one of the cleaning staff, whose behavior frightened me and left me feeling unsafe. I attempted to contact the owner of the accommodation through the provided mobile number, but they did not answer. I also reached out via chat, only to receive a delayed and dismissive response that showed little interest in addressing my concerns. Just got answers that talk one's way out of it. It appears that people who should not have access to the apartment are able to enter. I encountered some very odd and unsettling individuals there who were clearly not guests. Additionally, there was a strange man who occasionally cleaned the premises but remained in the kitchen area well beyond working hours, often until at least 7 PM. His presence added to the discomfort. I noticed similar alarming details mentioned in previous reviews of the Dominitz Happy Days apartments (there are at least five properties like this in Oslo). Upon arrival, I found my room door already open, which was unsettling. The room itself was not fully clean—I discovered hair and crumbs in my private space. The kitchen appliances were filthy and left me disgusted at the thought of using them (see attached pictures). The kitchen area was extremely hot and humid due to the lack of proper ventilation or windows. Towels and bed linens for the apartment are dried in a wall cabinet using electric heaters set on full power, which exacerbates the heat (see pictures). This method not only creates discomfort but also poses a potential fire hazard due to the risk of overheating. For me it was a terrible experience, I would strongly recommend to book a hotel or another air bnb, even though the price is tempting for Oslo conditions.
