“Great location (especially if you want to travel regularly to Kyoto)”
Position is great: the closest station is 200 m away, Juso, and it's on the Hankyu-Line which takes you directly to Kyoto in 40 mins and with the cheapest fare. Not too far away from Osaka Station and Shin Osaka (the Shinkansen station) either.

“Amazing value for the price”
Budget-friendly stay that seriously over-delivered on value. Free breakfast was a standout surprise, especially the scrambled eggs which were excellent. Rooms were surprisingly spacious for the price, making it a very comfortable base. Bed was a bit uncomfortable, but overall quality far exceeded expectations given how cheap it was.

Toyoko Inn was conveniently located, staff were welcoming and spoke English with care and confidence. The breakfast buffet was healthy, delicious, Japanese style and fresh.

“Great stay!”
Lovely and professional staff. Great breakfast, and excellent service. The room was clean and had everything we needed for our short stay. GREAT coffee in the lobby too! There were also plenty of options for streaming services available. Family Mart, Don Quijote, and Juso station were all a very short walk from the hotel.

“Outstanding stay!”
I booked 3 nights in the Toyoka Inn which is located 5 minutes away from bars, restaurants and a train station. The room was clean and included shampoo, body wash and a toothbrush in the bathroom. Spontaneously, I decided to request an early leave after 2 nights because my travel itinerary had changed. The hotel accepted it without any charges. After checking out there was an issue with the cashback of the last night so the recepionist decided to come to Kyoto after work to hand over the balance difference in cash. I am very pleased with the hotel and their staff, I would not have expected a service that incredible and would like to thank the whole team and Kamura for taking care of me! Highly recommend staying there!

When we checked in was told we booked a smoking room which was by accident, asked to change rooms and neither of us have ever smoked so the thought of sleeping in a room for 3 nights full of smoke was not what we wanted. Was told we couldn’t change rooms so had to pay a lot of money to change after we had already slept in the smoking room for one night as apparently no rooms were available very rude and abrupt communication. Bad location and not close to anything would not stay here! Was very ill after and this was because of that one night that we couldn’t change because they would have lost out on business for 1 night as the cleaners had gone home!
