“All in all ok but a lot to pay extra for…”

We had a very good night sleep and it was a good place to stop on our long way up north.

In this group of large old homes we stayed in Ekbacken, our room with bathroom was comfortable. The shared kitchen was good and the lounge area excellent with plenty of seating options and a small outside balcony. We found the property comfortable and easy to relax in. A 1.5km walk to town & the train station.

The room was spacious, with a comfortable bed and a nice wooden balcony. The furniture and the hostel itself have a classic Sweden charm and the shared kitchen was a sure plus. The room had a large private bathroom with window (which is not very common in Sweden for my experience).

I really liked the historical details and architecture of the building. It's like going back in time. Cooking facilities are present, as well as a common room. Nice to meet other people. I booked a great and spacious room. The breakfast offers all you need. Nice and fresh products.

Old traditional style

The house is amazing, full of history and artifacts preserved with care - from tower clocks to built-in room heating and a Dala common room with an incredible decoration. The staff has been extremely helpful in accomodating my early check-in and with wise advise for a nice hike to a waterfall :-) Rooms are organised by groups, so the shared bathroom and kitchen is only for 2 in my case. Comfortable & spacious room. Fitted kitchen space. There's a TV room as well.

it‘s just off the mainroad, so easy to reach for a short overnight stay. the building is pretty, parking is free

Cosy, plenty of space, wonderfully old fashioned, very nice and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. One of the best we ever had. Also a lot of vegan options.

“Cosy clean room, good breakfast, good location”

We were allocated a spacious room with comfortable twin beds. Although shower and toilet facilities were shared, we found them just outside of our room so it was very convenient. There was only 1 other room sharing the shower/toilet so there was no crowding at all, The kitchen was also very close by and was well equipped. Owners are friendly and called ahead to check on our arrival time and asked if we needed to rent sheets and towels. Breakfast area was bright and had different seating areas so we can sit far apart from other guests, Breakfast and coffee was good. The location is a short drive to the town centre, petrol stations and super markets, Also a very easy drive to the ski-slope.
