Welcoming staff, good value for money.

The guys who run the hostel are very helpful in finding public bus connections to various places (volcano Irazu included). There is an informative booklet "what to do in Orosi-some tips for hiking, etc." but it needs actually updating. The room and bathrooms were clean. The location is calm.

“Lovely hostel”

Lovely quiet hostel with a chill vibe, away from tourist hotspots and great for relaxing. The village is fully walkable, and the hostel is in a great spot to explore the surrounding area. Check out the swimming hole at the river, a hidden gem! Nice host, the cutest dog and (sometimes a little too) friendly cats.

The hospitality at Montaña Linda Hostel Orosi was notable, with the hosts being exceptionally friendly and helpful, contributing to a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. The efficient check-in process was appreciated, and the additional night we stayed speaks volumes about our satisfaction with the accommodation. The social settings in the common areas were inviting, allowing for enjoyable interactions with other guests. The shared kitchen was well-equipped, making self-catering easy and convenient. The presence of pet-friendly amenities and resident animals added a homely feel for animal lovers. The peaceful environment and the proximity to a charming restaurant playing night flute music enhanced the overall serene experience. Additionally, the availability of clean drinking water and multiple restaurants within walking distance were convenient.

It is a very basic property in a non-touristy town. The price is quite affordable, especially for CR. The common area is quite good.

Excellent staff, like to be in your own family! Good position, temperature, fruit from the garden, the visit of hummingbirds every morning, hamaca.

Common areas with garden. Comfortable room. Book available with info about excursions organized by locals. We did the coffee Plantation one and it couldn't be any better.

Kitchen was very well stocked! Enough mugs and plates, pots and pans for everyone to cook with! Also, loves the baskets they put in the kitchen for people to store their stuff as well as the bathroom baskets. And the different options for hikes and waterfalls with the directions already printed out! Definitely visit the watering hole, Rio Macho is the nicest river to swim in in all of Costa Rica.
