“Easy to find, easy parking, nearby restaurants, comfortable room and fabulous breakfast.”
The reviews were poor but I booked it because it suited our needs on tour from the UK to the Arctic Circle. However, our experience exceeded our expectations! Yes the hotel does need some money spending on it but we had comfortable beds, a small but efficient shower that didn’t flood the floor, delicious and varied options for breakfast! The staff were really helpful and directed us to a nearby restaurant which was fabulous! I pre booked an inexpensive parking slot via Pair. Right next to the hotel, ideal for our classic car. Enjoyed a lovely evening stroll by the water. If you’re not worried about the bits of old wallpaper or ragged carpet and a bit of street noise (it was a Saturday) I highly recommend this hotel. Room 160.

Breakfast was very good. Good to have a microwave to warm up food plus plates etc. Is nice, in the lobby area. Nice gin-tonic at the bar. Nice size of the rooms.

“The excellent place to stay”
Location was excellent, very easy to reach from the highway. Late reception was the main benefit for us, as we were driving late. Breakfast was plenty to choose from, warm and cold dishes, stylish dining room, attentive waitresses very helpful, nice to start a day with smiling faces around at breakfast.

“A Great Find”

“Nice hotel with friendly staff, great breakfast, good value for money but beware of street-noise”
I have reviewed this hotel before, with my family of 3, we stayed then in a Deluxe family room in the old part of the hotel, this time we stayed in a regular family room in the new part. The new part is newer in its outfitting (wooden floor instead of worn-out wall to wall carpeting, fresher wallpaper on the walls etc) but the rooms and bathrooms are also smaller and bathrooms just as basic. The beds were just as comfortable and everything else just as good. Friendly personnel, comfy beds etc.

“Great value with old-time charm”
A wonderful hotel full of the charm of wonderful times gone by. We stayed in Deluxe Family room, which was huge, had view over the harbour, quiet (double doors to the hallway!), with comfy beds, great breakfast, big size shower. Staff was very friendly and complementary coffee/tea in the entrance to the hotel 24/7. Great value for money!

“Extremely worth for money You spend there. Breakfast is amazing with plenty of delicious ingredient!”
Really wonderful breakfast! You will be happy! Dinner was tasty as well and surprisingly quite cheap (100kr) for hotel guests ant it was really tasty. Hotel is good located and has a nice history behind. Some facilities are old and should be renovated, like showers in sauna on the top or refresh bathrooms in the rooms but it’s really worth to stay and personel is really nice, kind and helpful. We are waiting to another time to visit this hotel with pleasure!
