The room was big and clean. The location was perfect in Orkanger. Its walking distance to everywhere.

Small room with a pleasant shower. Private parking space right outside and a small outdoor area for sitting in the sun. If you need peace and quiet and aren't looking for a standard hotel room, this is the place for you. It was perfectly fine for one night.

If someone wants to feel and taste Norway, this is the perfect place for them. We were enchanted by this place. The hotel covers a beautiful, well-kept area with many historical buildings. We were accommodated in a pet-friendly cottage. It was clean, warm and equipped with all the necessary equipment. There was a spacious parking lot next to the building. The service was very nice and very helpful. It was an amazing experience for us to be able to visit the palace and some of its rooms. The breakfasts also delighted us. They were prepared with local products from local suppliers. They were extremely varied and prepared entirely by the hotel kitchen. For the first time I had the opportunity to taste rhubarb jam and other wonderful dishes. There is a garden at the back of the kitchen. In addition, the kitchen uses fresh spices. For us, the advantage was also the shopping center, which is located nearby (where we could do some shopping for our onward journey). Whenever we are nearby, we will definitely use this hotel again and recommend it to our friends.

Very comfortable bed. Good size bathroom. Only stayed for one night and didn't get to ear breakfast, but it was good. I would stay here again

Great beds, very friendly and helpful staff. A big plus that there are EV chargers available on their parking lot! Breakfast was also amazing, lots of options and delicious!

It's a beautiful ancient hotel with a story. I stayed in a hut in the backyard with own access and possibility to park right outside the door. The breakfast was good, with the classic selection of options, but nothing special.

It was a great hotel

At the entrance of the town, this former residence of Kristian Thams now lies in zone of smaller shopping malls. The historic building is nicely adapted with a contemporary hotel wing. It gives you the benefit of two worlds: the cosiness of the vintage combined with modern comfort. Do not miss to visit the Thams Residence and read the information about this fascinating patron of industry. The bar is situated in the entrance hall and leads to the restaurant: the beer is better than the dinner however. Breakfast was quite surprizing, with a nice realm of tasteful local products.

Hotel had some history and offered a tour through the old building. There was free coffee and tea in the lobby and the food in the restaurant was good.
