Built in 1858, this hotel is set by the Svartå River and offers beautiful views towards the 14th-century Örebro Castle. All rooms have free WiFi and a flat-screen satellite TV. Örebro Train Station is 5 minutes' walk away. Rooms are located in the larger main building as well as in the adjacent building, called Lilla Hotellet. All rooms at Elite Stora Hotellet Örebro are decorated in either modern or traditional style. Some rooms are fitted with air conditioning. Restaurant Slottskällaren offers international dishes and views of Örebro Castle. Its cosy cellar vault dates back to the 1300s. Paolo's offers Italian dishes while the English-style Bishops Arms Pub offers bar food and a wide selection of beers and whiskies. Staff can help arrange green fees at local golf courses. “Contact the Hotel directly to check if all is OK!”
We received a text from this Hotel telling us that the staff were looking forward to greeting us the night however when we arrived outside the Hotel it was firmly closed and covered in scaffolding - what a surprise! I was completely shocked that no one, not the Hotel nor Booking .com, had informed us of this situation. Eventually we did find a grubby notice telling us to go to another Hotel further up the road which fortunately turned out to be OK.

Close to the castle and locate in the central. Have the nice nature and you can take a walk especially in the summer season.

The location of the hotel is just a few minutes walk from the train station in Örebro Central. This is the primary reason we book this hotel. Perfect location! Very positive surprise - we got a HUGE room - 2 double beds and an L-shape sofa - overlooking the Castle (Slottet)! Another plus is the breakfast. It has everything we want - hot coffee, bread, bacon, yoghurt, fresh fruits, juice, etc. etc. Oh, and of course, most important - friendly staff as I explain below.

- Very friendly staff in the reception. - I like the facilities a lot, it is old and beautiful. - The room was excellent - with a small walk-in closet, floor heating in the bathroom, comfortable bed, large bed table, desk, good lighting, clean, and everything worked as it should. - Great breakfast with everything you can possibly wish for. - Perfect location.
