A palace in the forest, with rich history. We visited it for my wife's birthday. It couldn't have been a better gift. Sylvie and Alain's warm welcome and attention to detail made it feel like visiting good friends.

The location of the Chateau is excellent. Very close to the Loire Valley chateaux but secluded in a very quite and relaxing forest by its own. The breakfast was amazing, the rooms fantastic, Sylvie and Alain our hosts were incredible! It's worth to stay in this chateau, very very reasonable pricing, its a fairytale. But most important is the friendliness of Sylvie and Alain. You feel that you are part of their family, always smiling and ready to help with any questions or needs you may have. I will return back soon with friends. If you want to visit Loire Valley and the chateau staying at du Guerinet is an excellent choice.

We loved this gem of a Chateau. It is absolutely beautiful. Set in quiet wooded countryside with plenty of private parking about 20 minutes drive from Blois it is perfect for visiting the Chateaux of the Loire. Sylvie and Alain could not have made us feel more welcome. They were friendly, helpful, informative and interesting. Our room was beautiful, well equipped with facilities for making tea, etc. The hosts obviously had tried to think of everything we might need. No TV, thank goodness! Breakfast was a delicious continental meal with savoury as well as sweet options which really set us up for the day. We definitely hope to stay here again. Highly recommended.

The chateau is renovated and arranged very attractively and uniquely, expressing both its history and the current owners artistic values. The result is unforgettable. Alan and Silvie are warm, fun and helpful. They live in the chateau, and go to great lengths to enhance your stay and enrich your tour of the surroundings. The chateau is located in a forested area, but with easy access to significant attraction of the central Loire valley. The room and bed are incredibly convenient. Roomy, airy and well lit with generous view of the pastoral surroundings.

“Authentic chateau experience”

Beautiful chateau full of interesting art in a very peaceful location. Sylvie and Alain were wonderful hosts and provided a very warm welcome. Breakfast was excellent, served in the stunning dining room. The bedroom was very comfortable and had lovely views over the grounds. Wish we could have stayed longer.

We had a wonderful stay at the castle, it really exceeded our expectations! The hosts were so warm and welcoming, told us so many interesting things about the castle and the area, the castle itself and the surroundings were absolutely beautiful and the brakfast was excellent. The château is beautiful and authentically decorated with many interesting trinkets. Staying there was like a kid on treasure hunt. The hosts have excellent taste in art and amazing knowledge in history. Their breakfast is both classic and nourishing. Above all, Sylvie and Allain are just exemplary human beings to meet and be friends with. Plus, if you have the dream of having your château one day, you just come and stay here, Sylvie has got a whole book of them you could look at and so much passion to share about these beautiful buildings.
