“October break to Oludeniz”

The location is stunning, quiet, relaxing, in the middle of lush gardens and greenery. The best spot for watching the sunset is the sunset bar. The food was good, lots of variety although if you were eating there for longer than a 5-6 days it would probably become too samey. We ate out of the hotel on the last couple of nights. Staff were helpful and friendly. By far our favourite parts were the boat trip - 12 islands via Montana. It's more expensive than others but totally worth it. Only 12-14 people on board, the staff are amazing and the views were incredible. The spa was also second to none. The start of the Lycian Trial is a short stroll from the hotel, worth a morning hike for the views alone. You only have to walk about 45 mins and the views of the beach and paragliders is outstanding. We liked No1 Beach bar on Oludeniz beach but it was expensive. We had a couple of overcast days, but the weather was mid-20's in mid Oct. Sea was lovely and warm still.

I have visited before, ten years ago and it was a delight to find that everything was still of the same high standard. The whole resort is immaculate; beautiful, well tended gardens, comfortable rooms with excellent toiletries and the most friendly and helpful staff I have ever come across. I am not going to identify any specific staff as everyone was amazing, housekeeping, reception, chefs, waiters and waitresses, those in the pool bars and main bars, the wonderful lady who cooks the best Gozleme ever, the team tending the garden, everyone. The food is absolutely delicious, so much variety, so fresh with delicious local products. I simply could not fault it. My friend and I went on the hotel boat trip which although pricey by Turkish standards, was outstanding. The boat is comfortable and the meals on board, amazing with a friendly crew. The only caveat would be the steps for getting into the water, they could be tricky for someone with mobility issues.

I am a regular visitor to this resort so know what to expect. I like it being in a quiet location with lovely mountain gardens but easy reach to the busy areas via taxi. The walk into Hisarano is 15 minutes via the higher route through the nearby villas. The hotel bus does a drop off and pick up to the lagoon 3 times a day which is very useful. The hotel provide free quality entertainment every evening if you like that kind of thing but other bars are available to chill at. The Montana boat trip is a fab day out if willing to pay the extra for this. The food quality was excellent this year but it's easy to eat out in local restaurants for a change. Will be back again soon I hope.
