“Lovely place with a lot of hiking around”

Spacious and private cottage with a beautiful view on the lake and the surrounding mountains. Comfortable beds. Located close to Olden, Loen, Stryn and the Brikdalsbreen / Jostedalsbreen NP.

Check-In: GPS coordinates were wrong. Drive to the given address or go to "Solberget Camping". You have to drive up to the farm, eventually you'll see the sign "reseption" behind you on a house. Follow the sign and ring the bell for Check-In. Hosts do not really speak english but are friendly and answered our questions. Cabin was not extremely clean, but clean enough. Beds were clean and comfy enough. Sauna knob was defective, but can be used by fixating it using a stick. Dishwasher did not work that well for us. Kitchen and equipment was sufficient, there was also a freezer! Electricity was 280kr. for 3 ppl in 2023. View amazing. Sometimes you smell fertilizer because its a farm and sometimes you hear a construction site on the other side on the fjord. Also, Olden and its glacier is really busy through cruise tourism. However, it is beautiful here! We really enjoyed our time here. There is so much to do in the area. The cabin itself is absolutely satisfying, but we visited several cabins during our norway travels, and there are ones which are operated a bit more lovingly. But it is still a good place to stay, especially with several persons.

“Excellent cabin for a good price”

Almost everything was great. Check-in was flawless, the owner lady is very helpful. She doesn't speak very good english, but we didn't have problems with understanding each other. The cabin was clean and everything was functional except a few things. The views from this cabin are the best from all the buildings on Solberget. The cabin is 6km from the village of Olden and it's relatively far from all the attractions, so you have to have a car or carefully plan your bus trips. It's not impossible, but not very comfortable. There is a bus connecting the whole Oldedalen on schooldays.
