“Nice little oasis away from the crowds”

We only stayed for a night but really enjoyed this little hideaway. Perched on top of a small hill, the hotel offered a quiet respite from the town below. There's a lovely patio with fireplace overlooking the valley - perfect for enjoying the evening and looking at the stars. There's also a lovely waterfall/pond feature. Lots of birds and bunnies hanging around. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was continental but had several good options.

Location was perfect , quiet and close to art supplies shop and a great Italian restaurant, Pappa Lennon which was recommended to me by the staff at Ojai Retreat. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast great.

Very nice setting in a great environment. Very peaceful but still close to everything (activities, restaurants, ..). Breakfast buffet with more than enough choice. Also the communication for arrivals after reception hours is very clear.

Beautiful location overlooking the Ojai hills - 5/10 minute drive from downtown. A beautiful tranquil setting with lovely walks through meadows from the Inn. Feels more like an AirBnB - private and quiet. We would choose it again for this reason! Lovely, helpful staff. Nice breakfast with healthy choices. Homely furnishings. Plenty of opportunity to nourish the soul with philosophy, meditation books and opportunities for mindful walking.

Fabulous views and lovely gardens. A little remote from the main town, but fine with a car. We had one of the two rooms with a shared bathroom - but we did have a galley kitchen outside and the main lounge was next door. So, altogether, we had plenty of space & facilities. Breakfast was plentiful and good quality. Ojai is a very special area.

A relaxing oasis of calm, perfect for a reset if you've been feeling over stimulated! Lovely staff, comfortable bedroom, beautiful setting, with mountain views and green grounds. Good buffet breakfast, hot food at weekends. Excellent reading room, with a huge collection of spiritual books. 10 mins drive into downtown Ojai.

“A bit pricey for what we got, but still a nice place.”

The breakfast could use some improvement, especially for what we were paying. Not everyone likes all sorts of stuff mixed in with their scrambled eggs. A nice fruit salad would have been nice to have. Bacon would have been better than sausage. Like, who really knows what goes into those little sausage paddies? Did like the waterfall garden. Nice chairs to sit in the sun in. Loved the lizards, hummingbirds and chipmunk. Generally pretty quiet. It's just that being that close to "civilization", there is always that annoying background noise, but it was pretty low level.
