“A very quiet stay in a holiday center in the forest”
I had a very pleasant stay at Oivanki. The accomodation was located in a very spacious and calm area, on the edge of a lake. From the back terrace I saw some reindeer grazing. The room was basic, and I had to put the sheets on the bed myself, but that didn't bother me at all. I can imagine it can get quite busy here when groups of school children come to visit, but as it was, I was one of only two guests in the building at the moment, and everything was very quiet. Breakfast was served in the main building and included some rice porridge, a selection of cereals and muesli and some bread and salad. Just what I needed. The restaurant was closed on saturday, so if you're planning to prepare something yourself, it's best to stock up in Kuusamo before you come here. There are no shops or restaurants in the immediate vicinity.

“Would have been a better visit in summer.”
Nice place to stay. We were there for one night in winter, and the place was basically shut. Would be a nice place to visit in summer as there seemed to be a lot of activities. Seemed slightly overpriced for what you get in winter. Heated floors in the room were good!
