Everything in the room looks nice, tidy and clean. Just like the spaces inside the hotel, all very nice and comfortable. The staff was friendly!

“Unsatisfied”
Letter to Booking.com Dear sir or madam, I’m writing regarding a recent stay that we booked through your website for Ashore Motel in Ocean City, MD. We stayed 8/10-8/14. Here is my reservation/confirmation code: 136384 First, the elevators were not working and we were placed on floor 8. Had a full knee replacement and I am attaching proof of this. I was unable to walk up and down the stairs and was stranded in my room for nearly a day because of the elevators not working. When we complained to the lobby they noted that to fix. We also called to let them know and no one ever came to pick me up since I was unable to use the stairs. Additionally, the biggest issue was on the evening of Tuesday, 8/13. The fire alarms were activated and we were forced to evacuate our room. Now keep in mind, two of the three elevators were not working and it was a chaotic My wife ran down the stairs with my children, but because of my injury, I was stranded on the eighth floor and forced to finally walk down the stairs barley making it. My daughter is a Type 1 diabetic and also has celiac disease. We were forced. Outside of the motel for hours waiting for clearance. We were unable to administer her insulin and almost made a trip to the Emergency Room until one of the medics helped us. When I spoke with the management at the hotel, they told us that there was nothing that they can do especially because we made our booking through booking.com. This is unacceptable and I am in shock that this was our experience after paying over $1500 for 4 nights. Thank you for your assistance in this matter. Best, Leonora Kalaj
