“Remote but beautiful”

We had a lovely chat in the morning with the chef and the horseback riding guide - two very lovely staff members that made us feel welcome. The breakfast was very good and the dinner was delightful. We arrived too late to order the meat, but the vegetarian option was spectacular. The scenery around the lodge is wild and beautiful, with sheep grazing the property.

The remote location is stunning and the dinner was amazing. Best lamb we have eaten this journey.

“A quirky experience”

A one night experience to stay in a traditional Icelandic farm house. Evening meal of traditional lamb was the best meal of our holiday. Nice walk to see the hand cart across the river.

the kindness of the staff and the homemade cuisine, the lamb was exceptionally tasty and soft, and all the dishes preparee and served with care and attention. It has been a memorable dinner, the best we had during our holiday. We also appreciate the hot pool, the temperature of the pool was perfect and the facilities well arranged

A gem in a remote location, but surprisingly the hotel is well managed and maintained, room is very clean. Dinner was unforgettable, well organized, delicious and homey food. Thumbs up! It is a good value for our stay. Keep on your good work!

“Unique and memorable place :)”

The accommodation is situated at the end of the valley, surrounded by beautiful nature. Unfortunately, because we arrived late, we weren't able to take advantage of the amenities offered. However, this did not diminish our overall experience. The bed was suitable for the two of us, and clean bed linen and towels were provided. Additionally, the shared sanitary facilities were kept clean.

Very good breakfast-buffet (extra costs), good place for hiking- or bike-tours in the surroundings. Hotpot and sauna with towels for free, interesting museum about farmers life in former times; good dinner in the evening (extra costs), interesting talks at the large family-table with other guests during the meals or in the hotpot.

We stay there just for one night. It's easy to find and it is not so expensive, when you do early reservation. The room was historic, I enjoyed it, but for 4 adults really small. We also had a dinner in their restaurant, I never have so delicious fish! I really recommend to eat there!

“A stable stay with charm, but hotel-level pricing — a one-time experience”

Big respect for the Polish staff, especially Kuba – amazing service. The food (both dinner and breakfast) was really tasty and well-prepared, but… the price is way over the top. We paid around €300 for one night including dinner and breakfast for five people – absolutely not justified. Great atmosphere, great people, good food – but the room quality and overall comfort don’t match the price tag. Nice experience, but not worth repeating.

“Peaceful, beautiful and authentic with fantastic people!”

We felt so welcome from the moment we arrived! The farmhouse and other buildings are very tastefully decorated and give you a sense of the history of the farm (which has been in the same family for 600 years). The room was very small and basic which actually added to the experience, and the meals are shared around a family table in the kitchen. The food was delicious! The shared bathroom worked out well and everything was very clean. I definitely recommend this place. Shoutout to Simon for looking after us so well - all the staff were lovely.
