The accommodation was incredibly cute, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable to stay in. Everything worked perfectly—the water pressure was great, and the place had absolutely everything we needed. There was nothing lacking at all. + Alpaca and Sheep

We had a great 2 night stay at the Shepherd's Hut. The place was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped too, and we could cook for ourselves both nights. The bed was really comfortable and cosy too. We stayed as Autumn was coming in but the heater in the hut was very effective at keeping us toasty. The location is fantastic and we enjoyed a glass of wine while looking out across the hills in the far distance. Jennie the host was really friendly and we enjoyed chatting with her while we checked in. Overall a great stay and we wished we could have stayed an extra night.

Very comfortable and not far from the city, nice & quiet. Good, clear directions to get here and instructions for using the facilities such as the compost toilet!

Location was just amazing with views across the valley and hills beyond. For such a small space it had everything we needed and was well furnished and clean throughout. Feeding the animals was a delight! So wished we could have stayed longer.

Lovely little spot, away from the crowds and the hustle and bustle. Small and cozy, and exceptionally well-equipped for a short getaway. I loved the fact that the animals were right outside and you could feed them, which made it a very unique experience. Directions to get there provided were provided well in advance and therefore easy to find. Short drive from next city. Would definitely stay again.

Being so close to gentle alpacas and sheep was a truly special experience. The host thoughtfully provided feed, which made the stay even more enjoyable.

Cosy, comfortable, delightfully fitted out, and with wonderful views. Peaceful and idyllic. The neighbours, alpacas and sheep, very well behaved and most appreciative of the complimentary feeding pellets. Outside bath surprisingly warm even in the cool night air. In summary, just perfect.

Such a cool little “railway car”. We lovers the views, the comfortable bed, the quiet and the animals! Lovely host greeted us on arrival.

Location was close to town but felt very rural. Liked being able to see the stars so clearly because of no lights from the city. Accommodation with a rustic country feel. Comfy bed. Shower was hot with good pressure.would have loved to try the outdoor bath but was a bit too cold outside. Next time.

Recommend as it was peaceful & quiet - did get some great views until the rain came in - loved feeding the alpacas - outside bathtub looked inviting (did not use due to short on time) - very interesting bambooloo composting toilet - overall a great place to stay -

“If you’re looking for peace and tranquility in a stunning rural location, then this is it.”

Stunning location. Tiny but comfortable, clean and cosy converted shepherds shed. The outside bath with lovely hot water and perfumed fizzing bath bomb was an amazing experience, as was looking at the starlit sky later with no light pollution. The fact that there was no TV or internet, plus the composting toilet added to the rustic character of this unique dwelling.

The host is very lovely and welcoming. A cozy and heartwarming retreat! The hut is private and provides a peaceful escape, perfect for unwinding. We are already talking about coming back!
