This Western Iceland homestay, located off the main route, at the base of Nýpurhyrna Mountain, offers panoramic views of the Breidafjördur Fjord. It provides free Wi-Fi, modern rooms and on-site art facilities. Sea and fjord views can be enjoyed from all Guesthouse Nýp rooms. Each has access to a shared bathroom, which has free toiletries and a hairdryer. A daily breakfast buffet, based on organic, local ingredients, is offered at Nýp Guesthouse. Evening meals are available if booked in advance. Guesthouse Nýp is offering different kinds of evening meals so please book your dinners in advance. Our kitchen works from 6 PM and closes at 8 PM Area activities include hiking, bird watching and relaxing in the nature. The villages of Búdardalur and Hólmavík are both 50 km away, while the Ring Road is 95 km from the property.

“Perfect quiet stay in nature”
We had a great stay at Guesthouse Nyp. The owners and the people who work there are very nice and make you feel at home as soon as you arrive. The place is perfect to relax and enjoy the view or walk to the ocean. The room was clean and comfortable.

“Beautiful gem at the coast, far away from the crowds”
Very beautiful house at the coast, all alone away from the crowds. Little walks to the beach and the river can be done directly from the house. The owners have wonderfully renovated this house and it is a gem! Besides little walks we enjoyed a lot staying in our nice room or beautiful common area. The breakfast and dinner are homemade and delicious- made with love. It has been so nice chatting with the owners and learning a bit about the history of the building and culture of Island. The unpaved street is easy to drive and on 20 minutes you are back to the main road. We enjoyed our stay so much- thank you Thora, partner and staff for making this a unique experience.

A very unique accommodation, designed with great attention to detail. The location is great and we were welcomed on arrival by a beautiful sunset. The breakfast was very good.

Our stay at the guesthouse Nyp was one of our favourites. The hosts were very friendly and we loved our cozy room with a beautiful view on the sea! The guesthouse is located in the middle of beautiful nature and has sea view. Thank you very much, we loved it!!

“Stylish, cozy and peaceful guesthouse”
Stylish guesthouse, nice staff and quiet atmosphere. You can walk to a nearby beach and enjoy the solitude and quietness. We had a delicious dinner with cod, potatoes, chickpeas and salad from the owners garden. One of the best guesthouses we visited in 12 days of traveling. Greetings from Germany

Very good breakfast, with high variety of local products, including vegetables grown in the own greenhouse. The Portuguese cook is a diamond of the guesthouse. We took also the dinner, which was made of local products again, and was simply DELICIOUS.

A wonderful guesthouse with a wonderful view from the bedroom, we saw the sunset from our bedroom at midnight, it was very magic! The guesthouse is very clean and the kitchen is well equipped. I suggest to taste their breakfast, it's very delicious.

“Amazing stay!”
Beautiful property and the hosts were very kind. Thora, one of the hosts is an artist and her art is throughout the house. You feel like in a gallery. The northern lights were also amazing!

The Guesthouse is a bit out of the way but in the most beautiful location. We enjoyed our stay very much. The hosts are exceptional and they made amazing home-cooked meals for us. It's a very cozy space and we felt right at home. Perfect to relax and enjoy nature as well as explore the western parts of iceland. Would definitely recommend to everyone.
