Overview
The stone-built Guesthouse Kontogianni - Materka is located in the scenic village of Nymfaio on an altitude of 1350 metres. It offers traditionally decorated, self-catered accommodation with fireplace or wood stove, free Wi-Fi and views of Mount Vitsi or the garden. Featuring stone walls, local artifacts and wool rugs, all accommodation types at the Kontogianni Guesthouse have a kitchenette with cooking and coffee facilities. Each has a seating area with an LCD TV. Bathrooms include toiletries. Guests are offered homemade liqueurs as well as tea made of herbs picked in the surrounding forests. We had a great stay. The room is very nicely furnished and of proper size for a family. Al the amenities were there, plus supplies to make a breakfast. There is a nice view to the surrounding mountains and the fireplace is definitely a plus! Parking is available and convenient.

“A beautiful traditional yet ergonomic guesthouse ready to support the most pleasant stay at Nymfaio.”
Guesthouse Kontogianni was a pleasant surprise that exceeded our expectations. The small house is well equipped to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Every detail is well thought and ergonomic. The kitchen looks small but has all the comfort you may need with a half size fridge (full of delights for breakfast and coffee/tea), 2 different options for cooking (electrical and gas stoves) and a full size sink. Beds were clean, comfortable and fully equipped for every weather condition. The same applies to the bathroom which was too full of amenities. The private garden was the bonus that we never thought it would become so essential. This green yard was our go-to-place for the evenings. when it was the time to relax. Maria, the owner, was very discreet and at the same time supportive to any need. Will definitely be back here in the future.

“Perfect guesthouse at Nympheo”
Excellent guesthouse at a very nice location in perfect touch with the nature. Amazing service, with warm welcome, home made products and available for any request. Authentic room decoration with fire place making the experience very cozy and warm.

It is perfectly located in the village, very close to the few tavernas, shops and cafés. Very spacious and cozy apartment with one bedroom and two single beds either side of the fireplace. Ideal for families, the kids really enjoyed the garden full of snow and we had everything we needed in order to make our own breakfast.
