“Great place to stay in Nurata, definitely recommended!”

Very beautiful new hotel. The room we had was very spacious. They made a very delicious vegetarian lunch and dinner for us for a cheap price. The host speaks English very well and was very helpful. He is also able to organize transfers to other cities. The hotel is close to the sites in Nurata.

Beautiful small family hotel

Riad Nur in Nurata is an absolute hidden gem. The rooms are superb, spotlessly clean, neat and equipped with all the facilities you need, including a private bathroom. But what truly sets this place apart is the food and the hospitality. Every meal is home-cooked with genuine love ------ the dinner and breakfast I had here were honestly the most authentic Uzbek meals of my entire trip. The hosts go above and beyond in every possible way, doing everything in their capacity to make you feel at home in this remote desert town. For solo travelers especially, their warmth and helpfulness makes all the difference. If you are visiting Nurata and you absolutely should there is no better place to stay than Riad Nur. It will be the most memorable night of your Uzbekistan journey.

Nice location and nice place. Food is amazing, nothing to complain about.

Ruslan is very helpful, and knowledgable- he knows a lot about the birds and wildlife in the area and can organise amything for you. The food, especially dinner (cooked by his mother) was the best meal we ate.

July 2025. We spent one night with dinner and breakfast included. The food was very delicious, traditional and in huge quantities (thank you Big Mama, who spoke Russian).🙏 that's the strongest point of the place, at the moment. The rooms are new. The house is being renovated, that's a fact. I believe that will be nice when finished (as on the booking photos 😉, now the patio is slightly different ). The guest house is located very close to the fortress and Chasma complex.

The driver who took us to the yurts was very friendly and kind. He stopped several times along the way to show us different animals, which made the trip even more enjoyable. The food at the yurts was also very good – tasty and freshly prepared.

“Comfortable rooms but not very pleasant environment”

The guesthouse is well located to explore the few sites of Nurata. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Food was tasty.

Although the guesthouse is in the process of renovation, we had a nice stay at Riad Nur thanks to the warm welcome by the family. Home-made food by Ruslan's mother is very tasty and generous. Ruslan is very hospitable and reliable and he knows his region very well.

A nice place to stay. Authentic and slightly in the hill with a good view around from where you can walk easily. nice garden under cherry trees where you can relax. the village is nice and not far from Samarkand, which ables to escape from the city Samarkand

Lovely family Guesthouse with brand-new and super clean rooms. There's a beautiful terrace where you'll have your breakfast and you can order dinner for 6$, vegetarian options are available and tasty. Ruslan also organizes different tours, which might be a bit overpriced but an unforgettable experience. 👌 We loved our stay and would advise everyone to visit Nurata as you'll get to know a different side of Uzbekistan.

If you're adaptable and interested in communicating and overcoming language barriers, what awaits you at Ruslan's guest house is not just accommodation, but a whole welcoming, kind, and caring family. A smile and Google Translate are all you need to have fun and meet amazing people. Both dinner and breakfast are delicious and thoughtfully prepared. Ruslan is a knowledgeable host who can offer you experiences in other rural accommodations with different families. You can also buy some embroidered items made by family members!

Ruslan was extremely friendly and helpful, as was his father. We got suggestions for walking routes, and stops on our way back to Bukhara. Delicious food cooked by his mum. Excellent breakfast, and dinner at a good price. Beer and wine available. Plenty of hot water. Well located in the old part of town. Easy to walk to the pilgrimage sites in Nurota. Easy parking in a nearby square.

“Hotel/guesthouse - wanted to leave as soon as possible”

We stayed in the hotel (guesthouse) as well as in yurts and also took a guided tour. Hotel - very good, hearty homemade meals. The room and bathroom were clean. Staying in yurts in the desert was a very interesting experience, with a beautiful sunset, the dinner was ok. Owner speaks fluent English.

The family looking after the place are nice even if they don't speak English. Close to fortress and spring.

Home made food and staying with family is nice experience. Ruslan organizes all kind of touristic activities in the desert and in the mountains. Prices are a bit higher but Ruslan is very active in local sustainable and eco tourism.
