Diego and Juanita were the most welcoming persons ever. They helped us with everything se needed and Diego brought us fresh coconuts all the time. The beach is super beautiful, untouched and peaceful. We would eveyone recommend to visit this little paradise! Muchas gracias por todo Diego y Juanita🤍

“Very basic perfection”
Utterly utterly basic. Barefoot luxury without the luxury. The wooden planks which make the walls of the huts have spaces between them for ventilation. Nothing in the room except a bed (and mosquito net), a shelf and a table. Hammocks on the verandah and the sea is right there - wonderful. You get there by small boat (with outboard motor) from Nuqui - the tourist jetty is a short walk from the airport and the people where you pay your airport tax made sure we were passed into the care of someone who saw us onto the right boat. It took 50 minutes. Wear shorts - there is no jetty and you disembark by stepping off into the water. The kitchen/dining area has a low concrete wall around it and a tin roof. The food is simple but we thought it was delicious (lots of fish - ceviche, stew and grilled). The staff are lovely - friendly and helpful, and take care to speak simple Spanish to help us understand. We enjoyed whale watching from a small boat. All very simple and undeveloped. A perfect place for blissful downtime and going to sleep to the sound of the waves. Utterly utterly wonderful!

“Highly recommend”
I loved my stay in retoño, a little paradise in front of the ocean, run by some of the kindest people I’ve met. I had an unforgettable 2 days in there and they can cook an amazing vegetarian meals, there are filtered water as well.

“Once you adjust and land in this place , it shows you her paradise”
Pengo and santiago were super positive and high vibes..i felt welcomed..i enjoyed the cleanliness of the beach and sand..and staying here gave me a presence of the afro colombian culture and their hospitality. The food was delicious and the variety was great. The garden is beautiful. The mosquito net with no punctures. Playing football on the beach was a gift

“Was the most beautiful stay in Colombia, very raw and connected with nature and locals.”
The Breakfast was delicious , with local products , and very traditional, arepas, huevos revueltos, nice coffee and always an amazing juice from local fruits. Besides this the hostess were simply the best.

Location is excellent in front of the beach and far from the noisy villages. Very beautiful nature in the hostel. You can have all meals in there. Staff is friendly . There is a water filter to provide free water and sometimes free coffee

It’s a amazing location on the beach with jungle and mangroves behind! Sopita was a wonderful host and helped me find a way to pay when I didn’t have enough efectivo! Plenty of fresh tuna around for ceviche was another highlight!

Very special people who love to look after their guests and beautiful food. Although I put 10 for facilities, do realise this is simple. clean accommodation without frills as you would expect in an out of the way area. The peace and general atmosphere are perfect.
