Overview
Hotel Hanzestadlogement is situated in a historical building dating back to 1645 and is located in the centre of the historical Hanseatic city Deventer along the IJssel. All the rooms are furnished differently. Every room is named after a Hanseatic city. All rooms have a kitchenette and coffee/tea making facilities. When you enter the hotel, the atmosphere reminds you of grandmother’s days. Also during your stay, you will enjoy this warm hospitality. Breakfast can be enjoyed in your room, in the courtyard or in the Hanzemuseum. It's a cosy and small hotel with a tea and coffee house. The hotel also sells traditional trading products and there is a Hanzemuseum. There is also an old Dutch sweetshop which is definitely worth a visit!

The location is fantastic and the building charming. The internal courtyard was lovely and the many books, maps and local information in the corridors was fascinating.

“An excellent stay at De Leeuw”
The breakfast was excellent - breads, yoghurt, plenty of fruit. The location is fantastic - in a quaint, period building with lots of old pictures and a room stuffed with old Dutch period items. The bathroom was fine. Hortance was very helpful as she was servicing a group of us who traveled there for work. We appreciated her flexibility in allowing 2 other couples in our group, staying in a different hotel, to eat breakfast there (for a reasonable fee).

Lovely, large room in 19th century style. Clean, quiet and cosy. Bathroom, with bath was fine. Breakfast brought up to the room and very friendly owner and staff. Location is fantastic. Wonderful place!
