Overview
Wildthout Hotel en Restaurant is situated in a former mayor's house in Ommen. There is a large, sunny conservatory with sliding doors that lead into the garden. All rooms offer a view of the green surroundings. For families there is a family unit with separate rooms for parents and children. Free WiFi is available throughout. When weather is nice, breakfast and dinner can be served on the garden terrace. The restaurant offers à la carte dishes and a daily 3-course menu. Logis Wildthout is ideally situated along several well-known hiking and cycling routes, such as the Pieterpad. From Wildthout, guests can also take a boat trip on the Vecht River. Bikes can be rented through the hotel. There is a bike shed and several free parking places. Hellendoorn is a 15-minute journey from the hotel by car. The centre of Dedemsvaart is 17.5 km away.

“Lovely stay”
The lights for the kitchen/dining area, seated area and hallway to the wc are all on one light switch. We had to leave everything on at night as there is a slight step before the hallway to the wc and this needed to be well lit.

“a super Dutch village hotel”
A Dutch village hotel JUST like I love them! The room was fine and restaurant super - We arrived just after the kitchen was (early) closed, but speaking about finding a nearby restaurant, the receptionist kindly offered that we could dine in-house anyway - Thanks for that!

Beautiful historic building in a convenient location close to Ommen, in the stunning Vechtdal. The staff were super helpful and friendly. My daughter (10) has coeliac and they did their utmost to accommodate us. My daughter was so happy, she often feels excluded.

“Not recommended”
After reading other persons reviews which were generally good I booked this hotel for one night. The staff were fine and the bed was reasonably comfortable but that is all that I found good here. Although the gardens are nice with 200+ year old oak trees and the hotel itself has good decor, the remainder was not good. When I asked if there was a vegan option for food I was looked at as if I had grown a second head! They had 2 vegetarian options so I asked if they could do a pasta dish with just fresh vegetables? I was told they were a gourmet restaurant that would not use pasta! The waitress said the chef had found some pasta and would cook it for me.It was bland and had been under seasoned with overcooked vegetables. They wanted to charge me €27 for this average meal worth €10. The next morning they reduced the bill slightly after my complaint. The room was a poky small loft room and was cold as the heater did not work.
