“Great overnight spot”

We were only there for an overnight but were allowed to leave our baggage with them earlier in the day so to be able to walk the beach unencumbered. Also the bed was very comfortable!

Room #8 was amazingly comfortable and very relaxing. Was my favourite room in my 4 weeks traveling around Mexico honestly. I stayed at some very nice resorts but this bed was the best yet. I did have to upgrade from my previous room but was well worth it to be comfortable. I finally slept very well here. Bed and pillows super comfortable. Very nice upper scale area this location. I enjoyed it very much. Its different than regular busy Mexico was a very nice change this neighborhood. Thank you staff members for letting me upgrade my room making my remaining days more comfortable.

I loved the comfortable beds and the quiet neighbourhood. I enjoyed the small pool and amenities of home. I was grateful to meet some travelers who I was able to connect with and be able to make new friends with.

staff was very friendly, Breakfast was fruit ,pancakes, toast, yogurt, and cereal every day.9 unites so you could socialize with other guests. It was very nice. 20 min from airport and a 15 min walk to the beach.

A Mixed Experience at Villa San Juan Bed&Breakfast. The breakfast and staff were great. The facility was very clean. It was in a nice neighbor. Our stay at Villa San Juan Bed & Breakfast had both positive and negative aspects. The staff was nice, and the breakfast was great. However, the room was small, the shower was unfinished, and the small bug bites were painful. The room was also a bit overpriced. The location was a bit far from the beach and grocery stores.

I spent 8 nights resting after surgery. The place is clean, quite and a great place to rest. Restaurants are a close walk. The fruit and waffles for breakfast are a nice touch. The clientele are mostly Spanish speakers.

A lovely oasis away from busy Vallarta areas. The staff were all very friendly and great hosts. The room is well designed, equipped with a fridge etc. and is good value compared to others in PV area. Breakfast was provided, not all that healthy but enough to satisfy most. Would def stay again

“Hidden "homey" gem near local restaurants”

I had a unique situation, staying for a week and alone. Most of the other guests stayed for only a night or two and were couples. Also, when I arrived, I was given an upstairs room when I specifically had requested a room on ground level (months earlier) as I'm old and cannot do stairs. Not happy. After two days, due to a problem with Room #9 and because an entire villa-full of locals left that morning, I was given a lovely room on the bottom floor. Thank you, Jazmin! I was lucky -- not only to be alone there for several days with the lovely, hard-working Jazmin --- but the owner of VSJ (who never gave me her name, but was delightfully welcoming) was also there the entire week, on vacation. Neither lady spoke English and my Spanish is very limited, but they were so sweet to me and we bonded within days, sometimes using our phones to translate. In both cases, we had much laughter and some hugs among us. The sweetest hosts ever. Room #2 had everything. An iron, a microwave, a fridge, a little radio/alarm clock (never used), excellent wifi, a good TV (all Spanish), a couch and comfortable bed with super comfy pillows. Shower was excellent --- shampoo and body wash on the wall. Loved the decor, including the beautiful Oaxacan black pottery in the entrance and each room. The entire villa features parota wood for the doors and window frames. Everything was very clean. Re breakfast, as others have said -- it is basic, with a fruit bowl, yogurt bowl, cereal, coffee/tea and pancakes or waffles, depending on the day. All healthy. By the end, I craved an egg so merely walked across the street to the two breakfast restaurants. Location is outstanding --- so close to several very good restaurants. The pool is small (dipping pool as opposed to swimming pool) but a nice feature for cooling off. There are seating areas and a canopy bed out on the grass. I will return. Thanks to staff for making me feel at home.

It was a great place to stay and only a 20 minute walk from the grocery store! Beautiful place to stay, it was my second time staying here. The pool area is also beautiful!
