The receptionist Roberto is a very aggressive, condescending and disrespectful staff member and threatened us. He should not be dealing with customers. He made our experience absolutely horrific and ruined it all. I regret choosing Riu Jalisco and I've been to many Rius before. I'd stay away from this one

“This was our first visit to Peurto Vallarta. We thoroughly enjoyed the resort, the beach, the food.”
The only complaint we had was the birds on the outside dining areas-especially during breakfast hours.

“A wonderful and memorable experience. One of a kind”
I enjoyed myself at this resort like never before at any other resort my family and I have stayed in. I wish rooms had more to offer space and ameneties wise. But this resorts main focus is everywhere else seeking to cater to it's guests. I have now been exposed to a whole new world and my family can't wait to visit again.

“the beach is amazing! no rocks and gently rolling sea.”
I usually stay at Club Med and so the food services was not as high level and there was less service in serving food. The buffets often got messy. I perfer to have someone making the salads rather than just buffet ... too messy.

The Beach area and the lounge chairs very comfortable.Its why I stay at any of these Riu's is the beach areas.Staff is always nice they work hard. Dinner restaurant servers are so awesome and fun. I lucked out this stay and had a bed already an extra mattress padding, so I couldn't have been more happy with my room this stay! My bed at Riu Jalisco was a 100% better than the Riu Palace honestly.

Many restaurants, good variations of food and drinks. Great weather, not too warm. Hotel is directly on the beach, that was great. Nice room service with bar available. Our son loved the time in the hotel.

“A very relaxing holiday!”
The various restaurants provided lots of choice for food. The washrooms around the resort were well maintained, being cleaned very regularly....they even had 2ply toilet paper, a luxury you don't get in all hotels!
