Very nice place to stay with incredibly kind hosts. In the morning we enjoyed a great homemade breakfast with beautiful garden views! We were able to watch a lot of different colourful birds. We had fresh juice, coffee, fruit and a great burrito. We only stayed for one night but wouldn't have minded to stay longer. The place is located on the main street, bars and jobs are in walking distance and you can enjoy a great view over the lake while walking around.

Very good breakfast in a great garden, where we saw so many birds you can just dream about in any local national park. :) In nearby restaurant (a bit uphill) with a great view to the village valley, we saw many many hummingburds on its terrace.

Superb breakfast. Friendliness and flexibility of hosts, who were non-intrusive but very accessible if needed. Comfortable bed. Variety of birds to be seen in garden. Host's recommendations for eating (Moya's pizza very good). Off street parking.

Marita and Roberto are the most caring hosts you'll ever meet. The breakfast with view to their lovely garden is great. The room was spacious, comfortable, very clean and with air conditioning.

Marita and Alfredo are very nice people and we felt completely comfortable. The room was simple but very clean and the beds comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast with a view of the beautiful garden, especially for birdwatchers there is a lot to see. If we are again in the area we will definitely stay there again.

Marita and her husband are the kindest people, took really good care of us, asked which breakfast preferences we have and we had very good local and austrian (!) breakfast!!! The terrace and the garden is wonderful and the location is near restaurants and lake and you even have 2(!) really really good Italien Restaurants in Nuevo Arenal !

“A perfect tranquil stay with a stunning garden”

Marita's place was perfect. She and Alberto are the perfect hosts and made me feel like family. They were welcoming, helpful and genuinely friendly. Their place is walking distance from the beautiful lake and the little town. It is also conveniently located next to a German bakery which has delicious pastries! The highlight is definitely their stunning garden which attracts vibrant coloured birds including hummingbirds and a baby toucan while I was there. It's a tranquil setting and having breakfast watching the birds is an unforgettable experience. I would highly recommend staying here for a peaceful stay.

beautiful garden, wonderful hosts, great street with restaurants along the road and German bakery next door! Marita was so helpful and even did a family wash and dry for me with a very quick turnaround!

We had a 1 night stay at Marita's and it was a good stop off point on our way to Monteverde. Albert and Marita were very friendly and breakfast in the morning was delicious.
