Overview
Côté Serein - Chambres de la Tour Cachée is set on the banks of the River Serein in the medieval village of Noyer-sur-Serein. The building has retained many original features and the outdoor pool is surrounded by aromatic plants. You will be offered a glass of local, white wine, upon arrival, and free visits to the wine cellar can be organised. The spacious guest rooms all have stone walls, exposed beams and parquet flooring. Each has a private bathroom with a shower, and a hairdryer and free toiletries are provided. Extras include a TV and free WiFi access. A buffet breakfast with hot drinks, eggs, pastries and regional cheese is prepared every morning, and it is served in the dining room that opens onto the covered terrace. After breakfast, you can relax in the TV room that has a baroque theme. Montbard TGV Train Station is 30 km from this property and Vezelay Basilica is a 30-minute drive away. Free public parking is available nearby. Exit 21 on the A6 motorway is a 5-minute drive away.

Renovated hotel built into medieval town wall, full of quirky charm, tight winding hallways that might have been access to the guard tower 500 years ago. The hotel is family run, and the son, who greeted us, was charming and helpful. Excellent breakfast. Views out over the river and countryside were peaceful and pleasant. Highly recommend.

“Uphill but worth it.”
Location was nice, room was also nice. Staff were also welcoming, and helpfully advised booking a restaurant as they're fairly limited even in June. I'd definitely stay again.

The communal courtyard was beautiful. Thomas was helpful. The room we ended up with albeit without beams or parquet floor had a comfy bed and hot shower.

“Unbelievably lovely place, strongly recommened - we will for sure come back.”
The whole experiance was excellent. We booked two nights but decided to stay one extra night. The host Thomas was very nice and helpful, comming with suggestions what to see in the neighborhood and helping with restaurant reservations. Breakfast was generous with different verianties of bread, yoghurts, cheeses, juices and omellete made to order. The town is very charming with a few resturants and shops.

This was our 2nd short sejour in this amazing hotel and in this fantastic little medieval village. You must come to Noyers if you have never been and indeed return if you have been before. We liked the rural peace & quiet and the historical feel of the hotel. The hotel has 'reception room' areas in which to laze around in, and unknown to us first time around it had a games room complete with a fine pool table and table football, would be ideal for a group of friends. Breakfast would have been extra so we opted to get breakfast ourselves from the local Boulangerie. We had a fine meal at the Veille Tour restaurant, in fact we had a couple of drinks there as well late afternoon, sitting outside listening to jazz music, it was fabulous. You must book it for a meal though to be sure of availability!
