We loved the kitchen and the fact that it had ALL the facilities that we needed to cook and refridgirate our meals. Our room was really beautiful and spacious. The possibility of renting things like a canoe was also really nice :)

Spacious room with sofa and sink. Bathroom with good shower pressure and plenty of space for storage in the hallway. Greeted by friendly member of the staff and was given a good tour of the premises. Full access to the kitchen was a plus!

The staff/host was wonderful, welcoming and caring. The arranging of canoeing was swift and easy and we enjoyed our time canoeing on the lake.

If you are looking for an active holiday in rural Sweden, gästhus Nornäs is the perfect choice. The hosts were very accommodating, even going so far as to offer a light dinner when I arrived after all the local restaurants had closed. For those more inclined to cook themselves, there is a large and well-equipped shared kitchen and dining area. While I only stayed for one night, the lake is right across the road and you can rent paddle-boards and canoes from Gästhus Nornäs, and they organize a wide range of activities both in summer and winter so you will never be bored, no matter how long your stay. The area is incredibly quiet and peaceful, making this a perfect getaway from busy life. The hosts spoke German, Swedish and English so we had no trouble communicating. My room was clean, spacious, well decorated, and offered a good view over the nearby lake. The bathroom was somewhat small, but quite functional, and it offered a lovely rain-shower which I particularly liked. The hosts had even written my name on a plaque by the door, and that kind of personal touch is simply unheard of elsewhere!

The apartment far exceeded our expectations. The little extra touches such as cot, high chair & toys made our 1 year old daughter feel instantly at home, we genuinely couldn't wished for a nicer place to stay, hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend to others.

Above the bed hangs a painting that says "home". It really fits in, because we really felt at home. The owners are very nice and gave us a warm welcome when we arrived. We lived in the apartment and it was very cozy. The room was warm and nice. It was clean and fresh. I can highly recommend this accommodation.
